Potus 7

Named for our 7th President, Andrew Jackson, POTUS 7 is brilliant golden farmhouse ale. Brewed in cooperation with our friends at The Hermitage, we incorporated malt from North Carolina (Jacksons birth-state), cane syrup from New Orleans and Juniper berries (Jackson loved gin). We imagine that this golden, refreshing beer could well have been brewed on the property during Jackson’s time. {Belgian Farmhouse Ale}

Pour Les Oiseaux

Saison style ales were originally brewed to refresh and compensate seasonal farm workers in Belgium. In the same tradition, this beer was brewed for our friends and family, our ravens, our birds. Brewed as a “Four grain” Farmhouse ale/Saison and then aged in French oak Chardonnay and Viognier wine barrels for many months with the addition of wild yeast (Brettanomyces Lambicus). After aging, the barrels were then blended together to become “Pour Les Oiseaux”. MALTS: Barley, Wheat, Rye, Oats HOPS: Magnum, Styrian Golding

Pour…Wait…Repeat

Named for the “proper” method to pour a beer from a bottle, Blank Slate’s incarnation of the American Wheat Beer style seems the perfect answer on an easy summer day. Not your typical bland American Wheat Ale, this beer uses both Red and White Wheat Malt along with Oats and just a touch of Honey Malt to create a creamy malt backbone. Late additions of Centennial and Willamette hops give this beer a smooth hop character that’s a little more aggressive than a lot of other wheat beers out there these days.

Powder 8 Porter

Porter was first brewed in London, England in the early 1700’s. At the time two basic beers existed: a light and a dark. The dark was more expensive and drinkers got into the habit of mixing the two to stretch out the premium brew. A wise brewer began making a medium dark beer to save the barkeeps from having to mix at the taps. The beer was named after its biggest fans: the porters handling baggage at the local train stations. This brown porter is deep ruby in color and transluscent. The alcohol content is 5%.
