Pretty Vacant

Pretty Vacant is a very light bodied Extra Pale Ale, yellow in color, with a quick burst of bitter hop fragrances. Malt flavor and sweetness is perceivably low, while some grassy and peppery hop flavors stand out. The finish is relatively clean except for a dandelion-like bitterness that lingers into the finish.

Pretzel City Amber

Craft brewing is all about celebrating tradition and heritage, and getting to have fun while doing so. Our amber ale is loaded up with melanoidin and caramel malts that make the brewery smell like a bakery at sunrise. That’s why we thought it would be fun to actually throw locally made pretzels right into the mash tun!

Prickly Pear Saison

This Saison's luminescent magenta color belies its heavy use of prickly pear puree in both the boil and as fermentation additions. It has also been aged with dried hibiscus flowers. Bright notes of kiwi, strawberry, peach and cranberry. Touch of a rosy hue in the foam, dance between tart and sweet, hibiscus and prickly pear, honeydew melon. Kiwi. A beer with a fun personality.

Prickly Pear Wheat

Most brewers can tell you about that one homebrew recipe that inspired them to drop their day job and pursue brewing full-time. This is that beer. Originating in my garage, it started when my wife had a prickly pear margarita, loved the unique flavor and color of the cactus fruit, and challenged me to incorporate it into a beer. Over three years in the making, and after countless iterations (not to mention several requests from friends to brew more of it), I am proud to share with you this refreshing fruit beer. The bright magenta color that the prickly pear lends to this beer is quite striking, so make sure to pour it into a glass. Cheers! -- Jonny Daylett, Head Brewer

Pride

What happens when you decide to boldly take a beer where it's never gone before? You end up with 'BEAN Me Up Scotchy'! We brewed up a robust batch of our Scotch Strong Ale, transported it into a Bright Tank and energized it with freshly ground Kona and Sumatran coffee. The result is a big and malty ale with a dark copper color. Toffee and coffee flavors Cling-on your palate, with slight raisin, alcohol, and sweetness on the end. Make no bones about it, you will not need more power as this one comes in at about.

Pride

RIDE Belgian-style Strong Pale Ale boasts a glorious deep gold color and an amazing yet arrogant head. Plentiful pale malt creates beautiful, agile body. Assertive hops and Belgian yeast achieve charismatic floral and spice notes in aroma and flavor. But Prides predominant and unique character comes from its exposure to Brettanomyces in French oak Chardonnay barrels. At once tart and refreshing yet earthy and musty, Pride is unlike most beers on earth. And its bitter, lingering finish demands another sip. Awarded a BRONZE medal at World Beer Cup 2008, Pride has much too much to boast about.

Pride n’ Joy IPA

Our interpretation of a “West Coast IPA”. Named after an assistant brewer who wrote the original recipe. This beer has pale ale malt, english Maris Otter, munich and crystal 60 malt. 60 minute hops are Warrior followed by Cascade, CTZ, and Chinook for flavor. Cascade hops are used for aroma at knock out. This is a big bold IPA, but don’t be afraid, it’s very easy to drink.

Pride Of Branthill

If you could call a beer an “imperial bitter” with a straight face, that’s what this would be. But, despite the increasing prevalence of calling big, strong beers “imperial” whatever, an imperial bitter is an oxymoron, since a bitter’s low ABV is an essential part of its profile and this beer is 8.9%. Still, the range of English bitters is a good thing to think about while considering this unusual beer. Pride of Branthill incorporates all of the key characteristics of the English bitter family and tries to preserve the harmony between them while increasing their quantities. Like “regular” bitters, Pride is still about balance between malt and hops and the special ways in which these English ingredients fit together and play off of each other. Pride of Branthill is brewed with Maris Otter from Branthill Farm in Well-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, UK. We get this special, floor-malted barley through our friendship with the Maufe family, as the farmer's son lives around the corner from Magnolia Pub in the Haight.
