Roundabout is thick and creamy with a head that lasts through the end of the pint. Using dark Belgian malts, which tend to be much softer than U.S. or U.K. versions, we created an opaque beer with very session-able qualities, making this brew a fan favorite…regardless of your misconceptions about “darker beers”

Everyone has their price. For some, it's measured in dollars per hour, for others it's powder days. For those that have the gift of passion for the dark side, it's measured in pints of Oatmeal Stout. Another one of FiftyFifty's seasonals, the Roundabout Oatmeal Stout is brown to black in color and nearly opaque. It has a velvet like mouthfeel, moderate hints of dark dried fruit, espresso beans and Dark Chocolate... and just a hint of hop bitterness. The addition of Flaked Oats gives this brew its wonderful creamy texture. Roundabout Oatmeal Stout is one of a series of Stouts that FiftyFifty Brewing Co. will produce during the course of the year. Substantial amounts of late-kettle hop additions and dry-hopping yields a heady blend of fruity aromas of pineapple, peach and citrus. Those aromas continue into a crisply bitter hop presence across the tongue, but the judicious use of toasted and caramel specialty malts prevents the hop intensity from overwhelming the palate. Locally sourced Michigan honey creates a smooth, dry finish that pulls everything together. The India Red Ale style is a variation on the IPA, but with more caramel and toasted malt character and a reddish hue.

Brewing just above the former site of Maine Central Railroad's roundhouse, it only seems fitting for our porter to take on the Roundhouse Porter name. Satisfying the thirst of hardworking laborers in the early 1700's, this robust ale became London's most popular ale. Brewed with black patent and chocolate malts, lightly hopped with U.S. Northern Brewer and U.S. Golding hops our robust porter is full bodied, black in color, with roasted coffee flavors and a sweet malty finish.

Crafted from page 50 of the Sleeman family recipe book, this dark ale reappeared in 1993. With its rich sugary malt flavours – from a mix of Pale, Carastan and Black malts – and aromatic hops, it's a red ale that shares characteristics with traditional pale ale as well as brown ale. This amber colored rye beer combines the citrus and floral character of a classic american ipa with the spicy earthy notes of a rye ale. hoppy but not too bitter and just enough spice to give you a little.

This beer commemorates our forced closure in January for being “over capacity”. Another nod to brew dog Max, this beer is brewed with american six row and a touch of crystal malt. Clean, with a nice astringent “nip” from the six row and a touch of sweetness from the crystal.

Made with the oldest apple in the USA, this cider is the second installment in our Heritage Series, an ongoing collection of ciders that bridge the past to the present. For ROXBURY (6.7% ABV), we've partnered with 826 Boston, a nonprofit writing and tutoring center in Egleston Square, and will be donating a portion of the profits to support budding writers from Roxbury, MA.

Named after Brewmaster John's canine assistant, our unfiltered New Zealand-hopped pale lager will attract you from the first sniff. Notes of citrus zest and tropical fruits hit the pallet with just enough of a malt backbone to balance out the dryness. Finishes crisp with a bite of hop bitterness and flavor. 5.1% ABV 35 IBU
