Tail Gunner is a reddish rye session ale, dry-hopped with Columbus, and was brewed to recognise Sgt Lincoln Orville Lynch DFM, a Jamaican ace air gunner serving with 102 Squadron, RAF Pocklington.

Iowa is a wrestling state. For generations, clubs and high schools across Iowa have turned out champion wrestlers. Iowa State University and the University of Iowa have dominated the Division I collegiate wrestling scene. Take Down is our salute to that heritage. A classic Irish dry stout, Take Down’s backbone is Simpson’s two-row Golden Promise malt for sweetness and character, along with roasted barley and a little pale chocolate malt. English Fuggles and East Kent Goldings hops provide the bittering and Irish ale yeast adds authenticity. Like a well executed wrestling take down, Irish stout can surprise you, with a lighter body and mouth-feel seemingly at odds with its very dark color. Lower alcohol level also encourages you to wrestle with multi-pints of this dark-but-light stout.

Deep golden to light copper with an off white head that stands well. Malt is center stage in the aroma, malt sweetness, caramel, slight nutty, and a hint of chocolate and roast. A bit of fruitiness comes through in the end. The malt flavor mimics the aroma, bready, rich, caramel, nutty with a dry finish. This beer is smooth and easy drinking and at 3.9% you can enjoy more than one. Pares well with grilled foods and oily fish like salmon. English milds are a staple in their home country. Very drinkable and they lend them selves well to an all day drinking beer. These beers are very good served from a firkin.

We were honored when our pal Brian 'Stillwater' Strumke asked us if we wanted to 'remix' one of his beers. So honored we took this all the way. After poking around in his collection of brews, we decided on Folklore. However, our remix of Folklore is loose as a goose..just like we want it. This beer is brewed as an amber ale infused with cacao and coffee, with portions aged in bourbon barrels and finally dried out with a dose of brettanomyces yeast. The resulting beer is unlike any you can imagine. Dark fruit, chocolate, and wild yeast flavors all comingle with a slightly vinious undertone...its like that time you went to the disco and saw Babe the blue ox dancing with Paul Bunyan. Get it?
