Sixpoint’s Danny Bruckert hooked up this sweet potato Belgian Pale Ale. A tuberiffic taste is imparted from mashed sweet potatoes added straight to the boil, along with European malts and Czech Saaz hops. With Belgian yeast for a slightly sweet and sour finish.

This is our brown ale bred for a malty taste with the help of some locally grown sweet potatoes from Johns Island. If you like sweet potato pie, then pull the trigger and order a pint of this beer!

Our kitchen crew took 160 pounds of raw sweet potatoes, boiled and mashed them, added brown sugar and dropped them into the mash. This candied potato porter highlights crystal and carapils malts that add caramel tones while its starches lighten the body creating a smooth drinking porter. More of a brown porter than a robust one, this ale shies away from the traditionally roasted and chocolate tones typically associated with porters.
