Specifically brewed for the purpose of beating the heat. Much like our hounds, The Pilsner makes a perfect companion for the hunt, on the beach, down the river or just hanging by the pool. A compilation of German malted pilsner and Czech hops.

The Pippin semi-dry cider is made with Cox Orange Pippin, Newtown Pippin, Green Winter Pippin and Rome Beauty apples. The result is a hard cider with nice fruit flavors and a clean finish that make it easy to reach for a second glass. The Pippin features the Cox Orange Pippin apple, a Classic English variety with complex flavors and hints of orange and mango. The Cox Orange Pippin originates from England, circa 1825. The tree was discovered as a chance seedling and has inspired apple lovers ever since. The fruit has a yellow skin with an orange-red blush and the apple is superb fresh and in pies, sauces or ciders. In our cider, Cox Orange Pippin is complemented by the Newtown Pippin, the oldest commercially grown variety to have been bred in the U.S. The variety sprang from a seed in Newtown, Long Island, around 1750 and counts George Washington and Thomas Jefferson among its early admirers.

An Imperial IPA brewed with copious amounts of Apollo, Chinook, Amarillo, and Simcoe hops. It weighs in at 125 IBUs and uses triple the amount of hops of our flagship red IPA. It has a medium body, full of piney, citrusy characteristics from the hops and is deceptively balanced and smooth.

This is an Australian pale ale with a good malt presence backed up with good Aussie grown hops for flavour and aroma. The Platypus name comes from the duck (us), and the bill, (Willamette hops). The grey is the belly colour of the monotreme and Holden has a Platypus Grey they used on older models. This beer is built for the Australian palate and as with all our beers is preservative free so it can be enjoyed.

The Preacher’s sharp blue eyes have seen too many sins. This Belgian-style Saison is created with an American twist. A spicy, fruity ale with a bright citrus hop kick.

This Belgian Strong Ale is a beautiful reddish orange hue fermented with locally sourced Palisade Peaches, Prickly Pear Cactus and spiced with Eucalyptus and Jamaica Peppers.

Collaboration with Chef Paul Kahan. Cider’s range, complexity, and acidity have made it a regular partner to Chef Paul Kahan's trademark farmhouse fare at The Publican in Chicago, where several Virtue Ciders have appeared. The latest will arrive this fall a collaboration between the chef and cider maker, and why not? Kahan and Virtue Cider founder Gregory Hall share in a reverence for local ingredients, beer (Hall is the former brewmaster at Goose Island Beer Co.), and cider. After hosting a classic outdoor farm dinner at Fennville, Michigan-based Virtue Cider for Chicago Green City Market supporters, the two went to work creating The Publican’s first private label cider. The release blends several heirloom apple varieties including bittersweets, Winesap, and Northern Spy, to offer a full-body, ripe apple and farm aromatics, a crisp, nutty flavor, and rich tannins.

Named for the Louisa quake that shut down the Washington Monument. Brewed with a Malt bill of English Muttons Pearl Pale Malt, Black and Chocolate Malt with a hop bill of Magnum, Cascade and Williamette.

German roots of bike and beer collide as Warped Wing Brewing Company and Huffy Corporation team up on the creation of a one-of-a-kind 3-wheel bike called the “Radler”. This foot-powered bike will make keg and can delivery runs through much of the Oregon district in Downtown Dayton. In 1887 George P. Huffman purchased the Davis Sewing Machine Company and moved its factory to Dayton, Ohio. They made their first bicycle in 1892. At one point Huffman also owned the Buckeye Iron and Brass Works Foundry which is now the home of the Warped Wing Brewery. This beer is straw/golden in color with a very slight German Noble hop character. The mid palette is very light and clean with a crisp Pilsner flavor. The finish is slightly tart with strong grapefruit notes from the organic grapefruit juice added during the post beer fermentation. Prost!

A lighter unfiltered IPA, with bold citrusy and grapefruit flavours. We use grapefruit peel and citrusy hops - Amarillo, Centennial and Citra - to produce this refreshing late summer IPA. The perfect send off and final brew in this year’s FBC IPA Bucket List!
