Russian Imperial Style (but not in your list)

War Elephant is as unapologetic as Double IPAs get. At over 4lbs. of hops per barrel, War Elephant contains a completely irrational amount of hops designed to create a unique hop experience. It has a “smack-you-in-the-face” hop aroma consisting of pine needles, grapefruit, tangerine, and other citrus fruits. Unlike many other Double IPAs, though, War Elephant has a subdued malt character so it’s never cloyingly sweet, and at 80 IBUs it isn’t overly bitter. Like all Rushing Duck beers, War Elephant is unfiltered so as not to strip any of the precious hop aromas from the beer. As a result it has a hazy golden color with a thick rocky head. The name: War Elephants date back the 4th century BC in India where elephants were bred and trained to fight in an “elephant cavalry” as transport, but also as a weapon used to stampede the enemy. Unconfirmed rumors suggest that the elephants were sometimes given fermented beverages as a means to make them more aggressive as well as feel numb to injuries of war. Rushing Duck Brewing in no way encourages you to feed beer to elephants or any other animal, nor do we encourage animal fighting…but it is a pretty cool story.

War Paint is a West Coast red IPA. Using 100% American malts, hops, yeast and water, this beer is Liquid America! The caramel notes from the specialty malts blend nicely with the hops for a big, hoppy Red IPA.

In celebration of the Dave Matthews Band 25th Anniversary show, we’ve brewed a special beer: a German Pilsner is dry-hopped with German hops, golden in color with a mildly floral flavor and a crisp malt finish. It’s perfect for those warm spring days–this we admit tastes so good.

Belgian tripels are one of Dean's favorite beers. How lucky for him when our Kickstarter supporters chose the style for our summer seasonal. Spicy, subtly alcoholic and effervescent.

European Strong Lager

Imperial stout brewed with pumpkins Warlock is brewed to enchant your palate on its own and also to counterpoint our Imperial Ale, Pumking. Make your own black magic by carefully pouring this Imperial Stout into a goblet. Dark and mysterious, the Blackwater Series is serious about high gravity. Reanimate your senses with Warlock’s huge roasted malt character, moderate carbonation and spicy pumpkin pie aroma.

Balancing the malts and bitterness of this west coast style IPA and then dry hoping with cascade hops during the conditioning process makes a very smooth drinking ale.

Warm Front™ arrives in the glass clear copper-gold with a fine, white head. Aromas of pineapple, tangerine, lemon and tropical fruit blow in from late-boil Citra® and Mosaic® hop additions. A medium body delivers sweet citrus with light biscuit and caramel malt flavors, finishing malty-sweet with lingering orange zest bitterness. It’s a vacation from the typical winter ale.

Warm Fuzzy is a Tropical Stout-style, a part of the Foreign Extra Stout category. 7.5%; a combination of English pale, chocolate, roasted, and crystal malts. On the sweeter side of the spectrum, not cloying, a rum-like/molasses flavor, estery. Smooth with no hop flavor.

Evoking memories of ice-skating rinks and snowball fights, ENKI® Warming Hut Brown Ale is complex, offering a warming chill, by no coincidence. Brisk upon pouring, the malty, boozy character of this dark brown beer radiates as it lingers on your palate. Dry Scottish Ale yeast complements the rum and piney hop notes. Initially concealed by robust malty flavor, the warmth of 8.5% ABV is leisurely revealed during the lasting finish.

We love having a beer at the brewery after work. Sometimes that's the only reason we even come to work. After a long day of slinging kegs or mucking out spent grain, we're usually in the mood for something light and clean. But sometimes we want something light that will also smack us around a little. That was the inspiration for Warmonger. It's not available all the time, but when it is we'll probably drink most of it ourselves.
