Pronounced “vice” this is a genuine example of a traditional German wheat beer. Through the use of a special strain of yeast from Germany we have been able to create a truly outstanding wheat beer. With hints of banana and clove this beer doesn’t need to be served with a lemon!

This barrel-aged wheat is exquisitely sour. This sour flavor is produced using lactobacillus acidophilus. This is the first of many barrel aged beers from the Waitin' on Wood Series.

Light bodied and moderately hopped golden ale, finished with aromatic hops, giving it a fruity aroma and crisp and refreshing finish.

The blending of hop varietals can create a plethora of different aromas and flavors that can hit you all at once, or come in luscious lupulin waves. To apply depth and character, a blend of citrus-rich Pacific Northwest hops and fruity Australian/New Zealand varietals are used in many different points through the brewing and fermentation of this ale. Waka Waka Waka is brewed with a touch of caramel malt and oats to bring a light malty backbone. Named after Fela Kuti, not Fozzie Bear.

Black as night, this coffee stout is thick, rich and full of real coffee flavor. Brewed with the Terrapin Wake-n-Bake coffee blend created by Terrapin & Jittery Joe’s Coffee. Annual Release: November The high content alcohol of these beers make them perfect for cellaring…hide them away and pull one out for a special event 2-3 years later.

Third of three beers released in celebration of our First Anniversary, Wake Me Up Before You Gose is a lighthearted look at a Germanic sour that does a jitterbug into your brain, with the exertion of both Lactobacillus and Brettanomyces. This unusual beer style, first brewed in the early 16th century in Goslar, Germany, has survived periods of extinction. However, it was fittingly revived in the mid-1980’s. The lemony tartness alongside hand-harvested fleur de sel (French sea salt), coriander, and ginger will put the boom-boom into your heart. We paired up with a local Iowa City roaster to combine two of the greatest black beverages.

This dark full-bodied beer boast a complex malt profile featuring roasted and pale wheat malts, chocolate malt and oats. It is then fermented with Sumatra coffee and vanilla beans before being finished with cold brewed coffee in the conditioning tanks. Roasted, sweet, vanilla - a truly unique experience to wake up to!

Brewed with Larry’s Beans Espresso beans, this porter pours into the glass with a fluffy delicate head. The aroma fills your nose with everything you want in the morning, a nice robust espresso to get your mind on track. As you rub your eyes and bring the glass to your lips the espresso notes breathe life into you. You sip at first, the creaminess of the head hits your lips the roasted Espresso and chocolate notes hit your tongue.. refreshing the mind about… As the flavors come together the medium body and carbonation is just enough to remind you this is a porter and a beer, you open your eyes and realize you have been “sipping” the whole time about the crazy night before.. you have enjoyed yourself almost half the pint.. You pull the glass away and exhale… roasted espresso and chocolate tones drift out… You are ready to tackle your morning.
