Logical Choice

We've finally teamed up with our friends at Pizza Port Brewing Co., one of our favorite breweries in San Diego. When deciding what to make, we figured something excessively hoppy was the logical choice, and so this collaboration brew was born. This triple IPA is an intensely hoppy and bitter San Diego-style India pale ale. The light malt character and light body allow aggressive notes of pine, mango, and citrus fruits to overtake the palate, while a dry finish allows it to remain crisp and refreshing. Make the Logical Choice and enjoy this beer immediately, much like the brewers did leaving work to enjoy it in sunny San Diego. Cheers!

Ice

The flavor: cold. The crushability: maximum. Ice is our very first pils, and it brings the noise. Hopped with Czech Saaz and Australian Summer hops, before, like, so many weeks of lagering, Ice packs the flavor of the mighty San Diego mountains into a compact, low-ABV package.

Named after our cat that passed way too soon, Omar is a take on the traditional english porter. The fruity esters compliments the notes of bitter chocolate, licorice, and a hint of caramel sweetness. Almost an acceptable substitution for snuggles with our sweet Omar!

Project Barista: Crema

Crema is a white stout with German Whiskey Barrel aged coffee, which builds on our continuing experiments with the ageing of coffee beans. We steeped Tamp’s coffee in a fermenter at both 21°C and 0°C to accentuate the low notes of the coffee, whiskey, wood and vanilla. Then we took 25kg of German Whiskey Aged Coffee and added vanilla and cocoa nibs to create a sweet white stout that completely defies the way it looks.

Wolf Blood

A true West Coast Red IPA - hops, hops and more hops balanced by lovely caramel malts. This beer is characterised by a punch of citrus, pine and stone fruit hops on the nose followed by aromas of toasted malts. The forward palate comes with a wave of resiny hop flavour followed by a strong malt backbone which is balanced by a dry rear palate and a signature IPA bitterness. The lovely red colour comes from a secret mixture of caramal malts, Maris Otter and biscuit malt. Despite the heavy hopping regime the malts provide balance without being cloying or too sweet.

DKML

Here you have what could be the first malt liquor worthy of a glass. Typically a slighted style, we thought we would class it up with a stay in the wood and a healthy dose of dry-hopping. A huge hit of corn gives this one a smooth sweetness while its time spent aging in bourbon barrels will give you reason to share. Be warned: this one’s a pry-off, not a twist-off.

Car Ramrod

A strong Bohemian pilsner brewed with Czech lager yeast. It pours a brilliant bright gold with creamy white head and features a crisp bitterness segueing into soft malt flavor. Meow, what we have right here is a SUPER brew. Say it: Car RamRod. This isn’t one of those cheap Afghani knockoffs, either. It’s a bonafide recidivist. It’s list of offenses include Impersonating a Session Beer and Unlawful Mustache Rides. You say you were headed for some french fries and some gravy? You’re used to driving on the autobahn? Only the very edges of the jaw and chin. This delicious session-able IPA is guaranteed to get some hair growing on your chinny chin chin. Many Hands Make For Light Work

2017 Cincy Beer Week Collaboration with Listermann, Moerlein, Municipal and Narrow Path. We used an heirloom variety floor malted Pilsner Malt to create a crisp, refreshing base in the German tradition. We then “Americanized” it by adding several late additions of fruity Hallertau Blanc and El Dorado hops. The result is a wonderful example of what can happen when many people come together to create something more than the sum of its parts.
