Barrel Aged Mountain Standard

Tucked away in a dark corner of our cellar, a liquid as black as coal rests peacefully in bourbon barrels. You know it as Double Black IPA. After a full trip around the sun, the beer has developed into a whole new beast, with notes of roasted malt, sweet chocolate, raisin and caramel.

Barrel Thief

The hop has met its match! Barrel Thief is an Imperial IPA that was stolen from the brewhouse and stashed away in medium toast, new American oak barrels. The brew features a notorious tropical fruit hop character that tangles with hints of vanilla, dried fruit, and toasted nut from its time served in the barrel.

Biloxi Pale Ale

Biloxi Pale Ale is our newest year round release. First tasted by the public at January 2016 Top of the Hops beerfest, this was the winning beer in the “Peoples Choice” tasting at our booth. Weighing in at 5.0% ABV and 39 IBU’s, thanks in large part to our huge dry hopping schedule we are able to bring out the bitterness and hop aromas found in most IPA’s. Dry hopped with Citra, this really brings out the grapefruit notes in both the aroma and the flavor profile. We hope you all love this beer as much as we do, it’s been a while in the works, but it has FINALLY arrived!!

Charming Wit

We’ve all got that one friend—sharp-dressed and silver tongued—who could sell a glass of water to a drowning man. He’s quick with a lighter, quicker with a joke, and studied in the art of locution. Let’s raise a glass to the raconteurs! We dedicate this crisp, smooth- drinking ale to the smooth-talkers, the tavern bards, and the gifted gabbers. So go on ahead. Coop'd Up Tart

As urban brewers, we often find ourselves longing for a bit of peace and quiet and a little more room for our elbows. Don’t get us wrong: we wouldn’t give up our New Orleans home for the world—but sometimes it’s nice to daydream of trees, streams, and rocks. We brewed Coop’d Up for all you souls caught between the thrill of the town and the lure of the country. A tribute to the city chicken farmer, the home pickler, and the window-box gardener, this bright saison longs for greener grass underfoot and a field of stars overhead. Coop’d Up pairs well with robust cuisine, dirt under your fingernails, and fresh air. So open up the windows, take off your shoes, and grab your favorite glass.

Ghost Eye Oatmeal Stout

A new record and a new beer bring The Sword and Real Ale Brewing Company back together for another epic release. While our first collaboration paid homage to a classic Sword track, our newest project reflects the ever-evolving body of work from both the band and the brewery. As a track, "Ghost Eye" plays in the latter half of a record marked by a pronounced progression and more dynamic sound. As a beer, "Ghost Eye" joins the ranks of our new 22oz. bomber bottles, each one a display of depth and complexity of flavor. Ghost Eye is no exception. Aromas of roasted grain, chocolate, and coffee are intertwined with a slightly nutty and uniquely smooth mouthfeel derived from the addition of flaked oats. So, throw on “High Country,” grab yourself an Oatmeal Stout, and let the face melting commence. All while the Ghost Eye watches.

Holy Roller IPA

To every thing there is a season. A time to weep and a time to laugh. A time to plant and a time to reap. But in the Urban South, our seasons run together. Here, parishioners cycle between pew and barstool. The tippler duets with the street preacher. And last night’s carousers become today’s congregation, still dressed in their finest. Holy Roller is a big, bold IPA for all of us caught between best intentions and bad behavior. It’s for the golden moment between Saturday night sins and Sunday’s repentance. It’s for life lived in full. For every season, there is a beer. We call it Holy Roller.
