Beavertown / Garage Project / Stone Fruitallica

Glorious-crank-it-to-‘11’-cacophony is what happens when intense tropical fruit gets a flashpot addition of pyrotechnic heat from habanero. The result is a literal world tour, as three globe-trotting breweries collaborated on this immensely thunderous soundstorm of a beer. Masters of brewing Beavertown (UK) and Garage Project (New Zealand) worked with us in San Diego to brew this double IPA with a power trio of kiwi, yuzu and habanero. Yuzu and habanero, sure, but who knew kiwi fruit could be so metal. Add in a colossal hop character to ride the lightning of the subtle but fiery heat. Hops, fruit, heat…And Juiciness For All. Call up your mosh mates, crank up the tunes, throw this beer in the fridge and chill ‘em all.

Double Fuzzy Baby Ducks

Bigger is better, right? We figured we'd put that adage to the test. So, we decided to take our FBD IPA and make an "Imperial" version of it and that's just what we did. Double Fuzzy is a bit stronger, a bit heavier on the tropical fruit flavors" and hopefully even more pallet-pleasing. Grabbing two is appropriate.

Erotic City

Sporting a gorgeous amber hue, Erotic City is, in its essence, a pariah. It seamlessly blurs the lines between beer, mead, and wine through the use of not only barley but substantial percentages of both honey and grape. While it starts with a sweet pop of grape and floral honey, it quickly dries with a slight white pepper finish.

Hop Shot

Hop Shot is a high-velocity hop hit. Our latest experiment in ice-distillation is a west coast IPA, subjected to Antarctic temperatures and concentrated by removing the ice that forms. The result is a 22% ABV hop grenade in a 110ml bottle. The aroma retains a huge amount of hop character - grapefruit peel, sticky stewed orange and yuzu, combined with heady pine sap and resin. The mouthfeel is full and warming, and layers sweet toffee with an aggressive bitterness. Firing on all cylinders with a hit of light effervescence, Hop Shot is India pale ale, quadrupled.

Horse Tongue

This is a unique wheat beer which is first fermented with Belgian yeast, then later with our proprietary wild yeast and bacteria culture. The initial fermentation takes place in a stainless steel tank for 6 months, then is transferred to wine barrels to age and mature for another 6 months. This extended aging process (and of course, the Brettanomyces) allows it to become just slightly piquant sour. This is a wonderful session beer for those of the “sour and funky” persuasion.

Pariah Light

In the craft beer world it's generally thought that the word "light" implies it's going to be some utterly uninspired, watery, flavorless, low calorie lager. It's time we did that term some justice. This is the San Diego-style pale ale you'd expect from us in every way, just truly without a ton of calories. It's inspired by warmer months, has a medium-light body, a delicately toasty malt profile that's absolutely wafting with aromas of Mango, Tangerine and Passionfruit from the Amarillo and Citra hops. About the only thing this beer does have in common with those macro 30-racked lagers is the lower calories...we're cool with that aspect though. We're all about flavor but we've gotta fit in to beach clothes too, ya know?!

Stone Neapolitan Dynamite

San Diego may be best known for its hop-forward IPAs, but this county has a long and proud history of stouts, porters and the dark arts. Case in point, the winners of this year’s American Homebrewers Association-sanctioned Stone Homebrew Competition: Paul Bischeri & Patrick Martinez and their champion creation, Neapolitan Dynamite. For our additional collaborator, we enlisted noted Stout Master Derek Gallanosa from Abnormal Beer Company to bring this ice cream sundae of a beer to life in full scale. The result is a rich, decadent beer, with the sweetness of the strawberry and vanilla balanced out by dark chocolate and coffee. Available in bottle and on draft, but not on a waffle cone, unfortunately

Pear Cider

Jack’s Pear Cider is our interpretation of a traditional English tipple. It is semi-dry with a smooth pear finish. We use both Anjou and Asian pears along with our own fresh apples to craft a sessionable 5.5% alcohol by volume (ABV) beverage that is truly unique. Pear will pair well with foods like mahi fish tacos and smoked salmon dishes, while not overpowering light summer salads.

Radler

According to legend, one sunny afternoon a small Bavarian pub was inundated with thirsty cyclists. Rather than run out of beer, the crafty barman added a barrel of citrus juice to his brew. Thus, the Radler was born. Inspired by this concept, we created TW Pitchers' Radler, a refreshingly crisp blend of lager and grapefruit juice with a hint of blood orange for good measure. Wunderbar!
