Rye-On-Rye X - Sazerac

Inspired by the success (and selfishly, fun) of our "X" series of special Imperial Stout releases, we've embarked on a journey to the outer reaches of our popular Rye-on-Rye. For the first Rye-on-Rye X release, Rye-on-Rye-on-Rye, we transferred our huge tawny rye ale from its first set of aging barrels into freshly emptied Templeton Rye barrels effectively creating a double barrel aged ale that showcased giant rye whiskey and barrel character.

Ticonderoga was fermented cool and slow then aged in rye and Madeira barrels from Whistle Pig. The result is a cider that is dry, complex, and sophisticated. Our Ticonderoga has a dry, woody character with spice, a touch of salinity and plenty of fruit-forward notes; think of a barrel-aged saison.

Tommy Raj IPA

Beginning in the late 18th century, English brewers crafted pale ales specifically for export to British occupiers in India. Use of the term “India Pale Ale” (IPA) first appeared in print in 1829, and referred to pale ale that was heavily malted, highly hopped, and sporting higher alcohol levels than its English pale ale cousins. The exaggerated characteristics of the IPA style were thought to preserve the brew during its long voyage to India. Bow Brewery was the preferred IPA producer for the East India Company, although many other breweries produced the style for export and domestic consumption as well. Some accounts of the British occupational periods claim a portion of each shipment was watered down for the army troops, while the remaining full-strength portions were destined for the enjoyment of officers and British Elite. Hops are the dominant force in our Tommy Raj® IPA. Expect a bold, uniquely flavorful brew with a solid malt foundation supporting a strong, citrus hop presence.

19 - Golden Belgian Style Ale

This Golden Belgian Style Ale matured for over a year on brett in Cabernet and Merlot barrels, then was blended with a bright, citrusy hop-forward Belgian style IPA. Four plus two equals seven here, as the finished product is bigger than the sum of its parts. The art of this crafted cuvee is in the hop profile with a Belgian style nose up front, followed by woody undertones and a complex finish. After 19 years we’re still all about brewing great beer, supporting the communities who drink it and having a kick ass time along the way.
