It was just 100 years ago when women garnered the right to vote in Shmaltz's home state of New York. Courageous women from across the country picketed the White House and went door to door for over a year collecting signatures of women who demanded the right to vote. These women had chutzpah!

Red Gruit Ale

We aged our 10th anniversary beer in second-use rum barrels for close to a year, adding waves of oak and vanilla to the sherry/toffee/caramel profile of this old ale. Introducing from the dark depths of the east bay, Destination Unknown Double IPA: A Cadillac-sized hop bomb that cruises the streets of Berkeley leaving notes of grapefruit oil and honeydew melon in its wake. Pouring this beer on Shattuck, its hazy body looks like the fog rolling off of the bay with a head of hop resin that dissipates just as you hit Durant. As you slide past Sproul Plaza and the smell of patchouli wafts by you find refuge by planting your nose in the glass, and inhaling a ridiculous amount of Mosaic hop-induced notes. Fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice, ripe melon, fruit salad, and copious amounts of pot... ...wait, that last one is actually some kids lighting up on Channing. Keep on strolling, taking sips and enjoying the body that is saturated with Mosaic hops and sticking to palate like your feet to the floor of the 79 bus. By the time you hit Ashby you can't help but wonder how on earth you drank a pint glass out of a paper bag, but it doesn't matter, the remnants in the glass still boast huge hop aromas, just put your nose in that bag and inhale over and over. Don't worry, you'll blend right in. Time for another pint, hang a left on Adeline and see where Destination Unknown takes you.

In a world of fruity IPA’s, Red Hare has traveled back in time to an island of a somewhat lost style, for this old school west coast IPA. Malts are balanced by copious amount s of hops creating that dank, resiny, pungent IPA from way back when.

Double Dry Hopped New England DIPA

An All-American beer. American organic grown malts, zesty American grown hops and the American ale yeast clearly identify this beer as homegrown. Refreshingly hoppy, pale yet tan and complex maltiness epitomize what this pale ale has brought to the American beer culture. Crisp, clean, sassy and complex, American ale at it finest.

Cider-like Saison brewed with Pears and aged on Sauterne barrels. This crisp ale is straw coloured and sparkling using only Pilsner Malt and Unmalted Wheat, however we used Cider yeast and brewed it with Pears and used Calypso hops, to layer this beer with fruit flavours. This beer was then infused in Sauterne barrels, a sweet French wine, with Brett added into the barrels. Style: Barrel Aged Saison Malts: Pilsner, Unmalted Wheat Hops: Calypso

Brain Freeze is fruity, creamy, tart and dreamy - what we're calling a Smoothie Sour. This edition unites mango and pink guava with a whole bunch of lactose and vanilla and has a well rounded tartness from a newly developed sour culture that brightens and enhances the complex fusion of flavors in this juicy style blender.

Ectogasm is a juicy, hazy, and soft NE IPA brewed with Citra & Mosaic hops.

A revelatory experience of Cascade, Simcoe, Mosaic, Galaxy and Meridian hops. Big notes of grapefruit, pine, and some tropical fruits, with a firm bitterness and a strong backbone of pale malts.

The 573 is the Dirty Swan’s kissing cousin. Brewed with Crystal 60 malt and double-dry hopped and finished with el dorado hops.
