Soft J

Soft J IPA starts off with a super fruity nose, which is matched with a hazy pour. It hits your tongue with blasts of orange and tangerine, while a delicate bitterness carries through to the finish. This soft, creamy, y-uicy IPA is proof that words, beer, anything can start with a Soft J…and by way, no fruit was harmed in the making of this beer.

Hop-Phobia

WARNING: If you have an uncontrollable fear of hops, take special care when consuming this beer. Drinking this beer could cause irrational thoughts and the feeling of being stalked by a 5 headed hop monster. If you have symptoms like these, stay inside and lock your doors. In most cases with Hop-Phobia Pale Ale, you will find unimaginable hop aromas and flavors of citrus and pine. Hop-Phobia isn’t for everyone. Please consult with a craft beer professional before trying Hop-Phobia.

Imperial Cold Side

This beer contains no hot side hop additions and therefore very little bitterness. We hopped it prior to fermentation with a hefty dose of Mosaic and Centennial. After fermentation we dry hopped it a second time with Amarillo, Mosaic and Chinook. Finally, we dry hopped it a third time with Simcoe and Equinox lupulin powder.

We took one of our favorite seasonal releases and notched it up a bit for the colder months. Lady In Room #10

Wildly complex with lush and rich berry undertones. With a year-and-a-half in the barrels with a multitude of microbes, three months of conditioning on black currants and plums amplifies the beer's assertive acidity. Miss Wright returned to the Hotel Macomber in Cape May each summer of her life. Death hasn't slowed her own. Stay in her beloved Room #10 and she may slam doors and break mirrors. Perhaps a bottle of beer that bears her name will calm her.

A big bad imperial milk stout inspired by an old school malt shop favorite, black and white milkshake. Brewed with loads of roasted barely, chocolate malt, lactose, and cocoa powder. Burton Ale

Described as the style of beer that inspired the IPA, The Burton Ale is a strong amber ale from Vancouver Island Brewery collaborating with Gladstone Brewery. This beer pours from the bomber bottle as a deep brown colour with a finger’s worth of off-white, lightly lacing head. The aroma is strong with bit roasted malt character and a molasses like toasted-sweetness. The hops here are mellow behind the overpowering roasted character. Tasting the Burton Ale it too has a strong molasses flavour that has a mellow burnt character that is followed by a lingering bitterness. It is a stretch to make a link to the IPA but inspiration comes in many forms. Perhaps closer to a deeply toasted brown ale or porter this is a unique beer that has flavours that are not often found in BC craft beer. If you like strong beers with rich malt character this is a beer that might be right up your alley
