Der Hammer

“Der Hammer” is an idiomatic term used in German to express something “extreme and exceptional,” and this hop-forward, high-alcohol India Pale Lager is no exception. Hopheads and IPA fanatics should seek out Der Hammer, our German-style interpretation of an American IPA brewed with German malt and hops, and cold-conditioned like a lager. Der Hammer pounds the palate with a big, clean, slightly sweet, pale malt backbone balanced by a delicate, but powerful, noble hop bitterness. It is heavily dry-hopped with Saphir and Huell Melon from the famous Hallertau Valley that are overflowing with citrus, melon, and flora aromas.

Flat White

A rather traditional milk stout, taken up a notch by the additional of Cuban and Brazilian coffee, freshly roasted by our friends at C4 Coffee. Honourably named after New Zealand's national style of barista coffee. A title that has been wrestled away from freeze dried instant coffee and made our country one of the best coffee nations in the world. In our own humble opinion.... Brewed with coffee, vanilla beans and lactose.

Standing Ovation

Calling all malt fans! Our version of a classic worker’s beer is a robust porter brewed with caramel, chocolate, and black malts, along with dark molasses for good measure. Also present is a healthy amount of flaked barley to yield a full and pleasant mouthfeel. As for hops, we used Golding and Cascade to compliment the sweetness and lend a slight fruity herbal quality to the beer. The end result is a delicious ale that pours deep ruby black with a full creamy tan head, best enjoyed after a long satisfying work day. Pleasant notes of light malt sweetness in the aroma play nicely with roasty coffee and chocolate and a hint of toffee. After a first sip, you are greeted with more complex roasted malt flavors, reminiscent of cocoa.

Rock & Rye

Bourbon Street® Rock & Rye pale ale is inspired by a Rock and Rye cocktail. This pale ale is brewed with malted barley and rye, then aged for eight weeks in small batch bourbon barrels to absorb the flavors. Fresh orange and lemon peels, maraschino cherries and spices like cinnamon, clove and anise are added next to give the brew its distinctive aromas and flavors. Santa's Woody

Santa’s Woody has become a favorite tradition at Laurelwood Brewing Co. It’s an thorough process to create this very special, very limited beer but it’s a fun one! It all starts with the first batch… We brewed a barley wine and stuck it in bourbon barrels. Towards the end of its barrel time, we brew another barley wine to answer the question, “What will complement the stuff in the barrels? What would also taste good in the barrels?” After a year of aging, we take out the bourbon barrel aged barley wine and do a tasting experiment — we try different combos of the new barley wine with the aged… like half new, half aged, or a quarter new, three quarters aged. When we find the perfect mixture, it’s time to blend! The barley wine blend, a.k.a. Santa’s Woody Bourbon Barrel Aged Barley Wine, is then hand-bottled by our amazing team of brewers— a process that is more intricate than it sounds. They even go the extra mile and hand-dip each bottle into melted wax for some extra sealing to keep your Woody fresh, no matter how long you keep it around!
