An American style barleywine of which 50% was aged in Jack Daniels barrels for 3 months and 50% in stainless. Delicious complex malts start things off. Tell tale barleywine sweetness from these malts fade to become more powerfully tasting floral hops. No citrus notes but beautiful floral lightly fruity, lightly bitter hops. Intermixed throughout is this delicious earthy oak taste that one can only get from aging. Very soft vanilla flavours is laced throughout the brew. The 10% is detectable at the end but does not deter from the overall flavour profile. There is a great floral hop and oak aftertaste that clings to the palette.

A callaboratory brew with graphic novel genius Ryan Browne - stripped down to nothing but Citra hops and Vienna malt, this brew is likely to move you crooked. Typically available early summer.

We brewed one version here at Solana Beach, one version at Automatic Brewing, and one will be released from Pizza Port Ocean Beach in the near future as well.

Beer Line is an off-the-rails barley wine style ale: rich, malty, multi-layered, and copper-amber. The off-white head liberates aromas of strawberry, dried-fruit, grapefruit, and papaya. The smooth, malt-forward flavor is equally complex, with undertones of caramel and toffee. Not overly sweet by any means, organic Cascade hops balance the malt syrup sweetness, finishing slightly spicy with a pleasurable alcohol warmth. We recommend serving Beer Line as an after-dinner digestif. It will pair well with the sharp flavors of an American-style Gorgonzola or a five year cheddar. Beer Line’s dried fruit flavors will rhyme with the nutty, fruity aroma of a rich Stilton.

Light and refreshing, our cheeky flagship German-style beer is low in alcohol and easy to drink, but has enough hop bitterness to please even Zeus himself. Sure, we know those well-endowed beers will get all the press, but, just once, how about some props for the little guy?

Music has been a part of Dogfish Head since before Dogfish Head. So it’s a natural fit for a brewery that makes ‘Analog Beer for the Digital Age’ to be the Official Beer of Record Store Day, a celebration of the unique culture of record stores and the special role they play in their communities. Of course, as the Official Beer of Record Store Day, we had to create a special brew for the occasion! Now for the second year, that’s just what we’ve done with Beer To Drink Music To. In volume two of this celebratory ale, this Tropical Blonde is brewed with hibiscus flowers and kiwi juice. It’s the perfect marriage of beer and music and best when paired with some of your favorite tunes. Clocking in at 6.8% ABV, Beer To Drink Music To ’17 is a pinkish-red brew with forward notes of tropical fruits with hints of berries and floral.

Produced spontaneously fermented in wood with the addition of Barbera grapes crushed and de-stemmed, no added yeast. Beer of great freshness and carbonation.

Our biggest beer, the Barleywine is not for the casual beer drinker. It has a mild sweet taste, coupled with the nice warming sensation at the end. Got to try it at least once!

Beerito is a light bodied, amber Mexican lager brewed with premium German and coloRADo sourced craft malts and featuring a crisp accent from noble hops. The mouth feel is incredibly smooth with flavors of walnut, toasted bread, plum, honey and cocoa - 4% ABV doesn't always come with this kind of character

Brewed in celebration of our 15 year anniversary and named after our mobile catering/party bus, Beerliner Weisse is a tart, German-style wheat ale. Its low alcohol level, light body and refreshing tartness makes it the perfect summer beer.

A blend of New Morning and 18 month aged 3 Fonteinen Lambic refined for at least 12 months in bottle. It has a surprisingly citrus nose of leather, cellar and animal with hints of dried flowers and honey. Lasting and sapid in the mouth with a sour finish that always makes the lovers of this blend smile. This beer could very well make you develop an addiction for spontaneous fermentation and turn your entire world upside down! ABV.6,2% 14°P After a mechanical breakdown, 3 Fonteinen Brewery of Beersel (possibly the best Lambic blender in the world) had economic damage in the summer of 2009. The news caused such a stir in the International beer movement that I called Armand to know how things were. As he needed to sell his Lambic, I immediately got inspired to blend our New Morning with his beer. We selected three 18 month old Lambic barrels that we siphoned in a small tank on our truck. The journey back was long and hard, myself and Manuel took turns driving through Belgium, France and Italy only stopping for gas. After days hand bottling and months of maturation, the outcome has gone over and beyond our expectations and we can say with pride that it was worth it!

Bees is an off-dry cider sweetened with locally sourced, responsibly harvested honey. The addition of honey adds just a touch of sweetness. The honey comes through in the nose of the cider and continues all the way through to the finish. On top of the white wine like qualities of the cider, the honey adds a light floral character creating depth. If you like sweet, German white wines you will want to try Bees.

Batch #12: BEES WITH A BUZZ Style: Bière de miel aged in brandy barrels Strength: 8% ABV Bitterness: 18 IBU’S Color: 7 SRM BEES WITH A BUZZ is the brandy barrel aged version of Bees in the Trappe, our bière de miel brewed with clover honey and a trappist ale yeast. The delicate honey and yeast flavors of stone fruit and spice that characterized the original version of Bees in the Trappe are now overlaid with notes of vanilla, sherry, distilled white wine, and a distinct nuttiness. The elegant subtleties of brandy and oak create a richness that develops further with each taste. This beer is perfect for cool autumn nights, harvest moons, and falling leaves.
