A smooth, light-to-medium bodied beer brewed with pale, caramel & chocolate malts from England and roasted malt from Germany. We selected the roasted German malt because the barleycorns are de-husked, thereby reducing astringent flavor notes commonly found in black beers. Aided by low carbonation, this surprisingly quaffable beer is also brewed with oatmeal and flaked barley which lends to it's smooth and silky mouthfeel. The roasted, chocolate and caramel blend of flavors is subtle, not assertive with just enough hops to balance yet allow the malt sweetness to shine. Even for that "first beer of the day." Black Hole is surprisingly thirst-quenching. If you otherwise balk at choosing a dark beer at all, this one will open your eyes to what you could be missing!

Coming in at an ABV of 7.0%, our Black Hole satisfies the transition from dark ale to stout. It has the characteristics of a “big” porter with its strong chocolaty malt backbone and light hop finish topped off with a touch of molasses.

American Stouts are somewhat bigger, bolder versions of dry Irish stouts. Ours is filled with rich flavors of espresso and roasted coffee beans soon followed by dark, bittersweet chocolate. A firm bitterness cuts through the caramel sweetness of the malt. Black Hole American Stout is not just dark and opaque, it actually seems to absorb all light and matter that approaches it! So suck down a pint of the Black Hole before it sucks you in!

Russian Imperial Stout

A beautifully balanced Cascadian Dark Ale (Black IPA). This medium bodied brew boasts over 5 pounds per barrel of wildflower honey from our neighbors at Haw creek HoneY. Black honey is loaded with aromatic hops contributing to her piney, citusy, & floral aromas. Black in color with ruby highlights, this medium bodied, roasty, & complex ale demands your palette's attention. Buzz it up my friends, sip away.

West coast hops make a covert entry into our new winter seasonal. Disguised in a dark cloak of Midnight Wheat, this India Black Ale packs 71 IBUs. Centennial, Columbus, Chinook, Comet, and Amarillo stealthily assume their position on the field of battle. Survival is unlikely… escaping this darkness is impossible.

“BLACK HOPS” is our interpretation of a new beer style called Cascadian Dark Ale that originated in the Northwest United States. It is an American IPA loaded with hop varieties from that region of the country. However, this is not your ordinary AIPA. The grain bill resembles that of a British Porter. The flavor is balanced citrus like hop bitterness with noticeable roasted malt and chocolate notes. A nice dry finish with the aroma of the Northwest dry hopping very present.

A BLACK IPA!!! Say no more. This black IPA is a first for south Jersey and is made with an elite line up of hops that will sneak up on you and blow you away. This bold beer isn’t meant for the faint of heart at 10% ABV. Only the strong will survive.

This style of beer is classified as an India-Style Black Ale. The focus is on both the malts and hops used during the brewing process. Our version is a medium body beer with a strong dark roasted malt flavor that finishes with an assertive hop bitterness. The aroma is roasty/citrus.

Black Ice was produced in 2009 and was inspired by the German Eis-Bock, a dark version that can be stored and will mature.

No one ever saw it coming, and then, WHAM! Your taste buds are hit with a hoppy note before they skid wildly into a bitter finish with slight hints of chocolate.
