Reverance Series. Our brewmaster Florian admittedly hasn’t dabbled in ciders too often. So when he described UCBC’s very first cider, Bushelhead, as estery and a little ‘winey’ we weren’t sure if he wasn’t being a bit ‘whiney’ himself. So we’ve declared that besides being a cider, “Bushelhead” is a homonym meaning; ‘winey, ‘strong cider’, or ‘whiney’. Thus our tagline – “Bushelhead – A bushelhead, bushelhead created by bushelhead brewers.”

This American style wheat beer is unfiltered and is brewed with pale malt, wheat malt and Mount Hood hops. The flavor is light, crisp, clean and refreshing, with a slightly floral finish.

You know the old saying: "It's Wednesday somewhere..." That means it's Business Time. This balanced IPA features the oak goodness of Pacific Gem hops from start to the happy ending. A dash of Munich malt provides just enough sweetness and color to get you in the mood. Best enjoyed with someone you love, but there's always an occasion to have one by yourself.

is our Cascadian-style dark ale. This is a dark and roasted brew with a good size malt bill that helps balance a huge hop schedule. We use three different kinds of hops added multiple times during the brewing process, including dry hops in secondary fermentation. This one is for the hopheads!

Buster’s Brown Ale is an American Brown ale, auburn colored with hints of chocolate and rye. Friendly to the palate, Buster’s Brown weighs in at 5% abv and is named after brewery’s mascot. A field spaniel, Buster is often seen watching over the tours and workday from the top of the stairs.

We proudly present the 2nd annual edition of the Butcher Babe Smoked Porter, brewed in honor of local butchery and meat shop Butcher Babe right here in Black Mountain, NC! Roasted barley and notes of chocolate balance this porter brewed with a special (and literal) smoked malt. A late edition of local honey from Sunbird Honey Farms adds a subtle sweetness to this bold brew. Enjoy this well-rounded, unique beer, reminiscent of an open fire.

Butchertown Black Ale celebrates the long forgotten neighborhood of San Francisco where our brewery stands today. This beer is a play on the senses: black as night, but with a deceivingly light body and an IPA-influenced dry-hopping regiment. Butchertown pours black-brown with a thick, lasting toasted marshmallow head. It has aromas of pine, orange, tangerine, pink grapefruit, & light coffee. Flavors of grapefruit, pine, currants, and red wine come through before overturning to a malt depth intricacy of dark toasted bread, pumpernickel, subtle notes of dark fruits and hints of dark chocolate, tobacco and leather.

This fall specialty was brewed with 100 pounds of fresh locally grown butternut squash. It has a toasty, rich and malty body with layered flavors of toffee, caramel and dark fruit. We also used a unique blend of fresh spices to give this specialty a warm, fall personality!

Buxtehude is a decidedly dark malty beer to lager brewing. He is sweet and palatable Antrunk. The aftertaste of this beer boasts a fine malty note. Using Dark Malt (type in Munich) gives this beer its characteristic color. A milder hopping is also a sweeter taste. The original gravity of this beer is 12.5%

December release. This big American sweet stout is brewed with espresso from a local Michigan coffee roaster.
