Buffalo Hump 1840 IPA

Named for the Comanche chief Potsanaquahip of the Penataka band, this fierce IPA remains true to the American brewing spirit, delivering lasting hop flavor and character. Buffalo Hump led the Great Raid of 1840 in retaliation for the Texan settlers’ betrayal under a white flag in San Antonio at the Council House Fight. Brewed w/ Franco-Belge Pale malts, hopped with four full-blooded varieties of American hops and fermented w/ our favorite Belgian strain.

Buffalo Jacket IPA

Buffalo Jacket is a great example of our philosophy of balance. Citrus-floral aromas of Cascade hope initiate the experience. Soft malt undertones emerge at first sip, politely giving way to sturdy, yet graceful, hop bitterness; at conclusion, hops rise atop the malt.

Buffalo Nickel

After spending 6 months in Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrels this Stout destined for the barrels pours out of the tap with a latte-like mocha head. Aromatics of roasted malt, black coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, and a mild whiff of bourbon. At first you can taste the roasted malt, dark chocolate little bit of oak, some soft yeasty fruitiness (red berries, apple, pear), all with a faint taste of caramel that is finished with a relatively subtle nudge of bourbon.

Buffalo Sunset

Buffalo Sunset - It's not just another caffeine buzz When we first tasted Amaya Roasting Company's coffee, it was love at first sip. Their thoughtful approach to flavor theory & dedication to crafting the perfect cup inspired collaboration. The name pays homage to the Sunset Coffee Building, perched on the banks of the Buffalo Bayou in 1910. Back in the day, it was one of the first places to import & roast the coffee that fueled our great city's early pioneers. Available in 22 ounce bottles.

Buffalo Trace Aged Scotch Ale

Sierra Nevada’s traditionally styled Scotch Ale is deep red in color, possessing a strong malt flavor with a very light hop character derived from the English hops used. Though medium bodied, this sweet ale is rather potent at 7.3% ABV. To add even more character to this beer, we aged it in bourbon barrels for eight months.

As the follow up to Broken Promise Pale Ale and Buffalo Hump 1840 IPA comes this ESB in rememberence of the betrail that led to retailiation of Comanche chief Potsanaquahip of the Penataka band against Texas settlers who went against their word. Brewed with Summit, Challenge and Fuggles hops, this American twist on the English style is perfect for sitting on our patio and overlooking the lands where battles were once waged.

Buffalohead

We've been told a solid English-style Brown Ale is the perfect mate to a well-made Scotch Whiskey. In true American spirit, we decided to just put em together and make a badass Peat-smoked Brown Ale for the ages. Thomas Fawcetts Brown and Peat-smoked Malts interact in a robust exchange between roasty, richness and spicy, woody smokiness. The unique and wily characteristics of these malts are destined to delight the stubborn, enthrall the argumentative and intrigue the indomitable spirit of the Buffalohead.

Buford Bottom Hefe

What some may not know is that there are three distinct ingredients that give any beer its unique aroma and taste – obviously the hops and malt, but the yeast is that critical third player in the flavor game. In our case it is all about the yeast as we utilize one of the older strains to deliver the unique fruit and spice flavors balanced by a very simple grain bill and a light hop addition. A very light, unfiltered, beer with a unique taste – Buford Bottom Hefe!

Just as the name states, this Pilsner is brewed to withstand the myriad of beer consumers. Respected by beer geeks, and loved by ‘light’ beer drinkers, this lager caters to all pallets. Patience must be exercised during this delicate brewing process which takes over double the time as a typical ale. Only the finest Noble hops are used to balance the slightly grainy malt profile.
