Reddish apricot in color, a musky bouquet of cherries and vanilla, a creamy, fruity, farmyard mouthfeel with a slightly tart and dry finish. Brewed with Gambrinus Pilsner, Munich and Wheat, Perle hops and a German yeast strain. Aged for 13 months on French Oak Chardonnay barrels with Brettanomyces bruxellensis and claussenii, and a Belgian yeast strain, then aged on cherries for another 6 months.

Scotch Ales, not to be confused with the smaller “Scottish Ales”, are rich and intensely malty. Ours is full bodied and sweet, yet has a smooth clean finish from a cooler fermentation temperature than most of our ales. An extra long boil and kettle carmelization yields a darker color, a deeper malt complexity and roasted character.

A dark lager with an exceptionally fine taste which is talked about with recognition and admiration. Staropramen Dark is exceptional for its calming, full-bodied, sweetish caramel taste with gentle, hopsy bitterness. It is a taste you will never forget.

An organic ale brewed with organic two-row and wheat malt, organic yerba mate, organic hibiscus flowers, and organic bay leaves. The yerba mate provides a natural source of caffeine equal to 60 mg (1/2 of a cup of coffee) per 12-ounce bottle. Brewed on site by Sam.

Cerveza De Julie is a pale yellow Mexican Lager brewed with real lime. Delicate yeasty aromas gather quickly from the ample amount of carbonation in this lighter bodied beer style. Soft grain sweetness enhanced by unobtrusive lime qualities bring out a subtle snappy tartness, which turns mildly bitter before a crisp refreshing finish.

An international Pilsner made with Japanese rice.

Working with Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project (Denver, CO) and Brasserie Trois Dames (Ste. Croix, Switzerland) gave us the opportunity to explore how wort brewed from the same recipe would express itself through fermentation with each brewery’s unique mixed culture. Over months of patient fermentation in Spanish Sherry casks, the idiosyncrasies of our respective microorganisms began to unfold. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and 100% bottle conditioned.

A Saison brewed with our house saison culture and thoughtful addition of Szechuan peppercorns that enhance this bright, citrusy and floral Saison.

Barrel aged rustic farmhouse ale. Blend of belgian blonde, multigrain saison and 100% brett beer. Aged in bourbon, rye, wine and brandy barrels.

This light copper, dry finishing American Pale Ale is an excellent addition to the Brew Works fleet of pale ales. A hefty sling load weight of Chinook hops gives this beer its distinctive bite. Chinook and Amarillo hops contribute to its almost citrus aroma. A hopheads delight!

We first brewed Chai Porter as our 3rd release. It was the 1st collaboration in Houston history, more aggressive than anything ever brewed by a Houston brewery, and I was super proud of it. Then a guy at a festival crushed my ego, calling it the worst ale he had ever had. I asked, “Do you like Licorice?” “No.” “Well, it has Star Anise in it… wait, how do you like Chai Tea if you don’t like Anise?” To which he responds, “I ing hate Chai." Good for you, Buddy. Chai Porter is available in 22 ounce wax dipped bottles.
