IN FACT, YOU MAY EVEN OBSERVE THAT THE THICK HEAD OF THIS BEER HAS A GREENISH HUE.

This double IPA pays tribute to some of hockey’s most famous enforcers, the tough guys that roamed the blue lines to keep their teammates out of harm’s way. The Enforcer features a heavy and complex citrus and piney hop character, balanced by a light malt flavor. Like any bruiser, it’s big, aggressive, and unsympathetic.

The Reading Terminal Market opened its doors in 1892 with approximately 78,000 square feet and nearly 800 spaces for new merchants. The Market was laid out in a grid system similar to the of streets of Philadelphia with twelve aisles and four avenues making it the perfect location to easily ship and receive goods. The Philadelphia Brewing Company has brewed this beer to commemorate the 120th Anniversary of the Reading Terminal Market. The beer, named “Engine 1892 Market Stout” via a Facebook contest conducted by the Reading Terminal Market, is a roasty stout brewed with chocolate and vanilla beans sourced directly from market vendors. At 6% abv. this stout promises to keep you on the right track.

We tilt the balance on our Pale Ale towards malt with toasted and caramel malts and moderated use of Cascade & Columbus hops, creating an enjoyable everyday, every occasion ale.

English 201 is our more advanced course on English ales. After Evan and Brad did their homework on the subject in England, they came back and created this recipe. The culmination is a beer utilizing all English ingredients with great orange spice, cherry, and allspice aroma and flavors, resting on a carmel malt foundation that will have you craving pint after pint after as though you were spending your day in the pub. 5.8%abv

One malt + two hops = one easy drinking Winter Ale. No spices in this ale! Translucent caramel in color, well rounded sweet biscuity aromas, a fine balance of malt and resinous hops that creates a simple, straight forward winter warmer. Brewed with Gambrinus ESB malt, Perle and U.K. Goldings hops with our proprietary English yeast strain.

Maris Otter malt and East Kent Golding hops are used to make a fine example of an English Bitter. Conditioned in casks with no forced carbonation, our bitter is served from hand pump giving it a smooth mouth feel and creamy head. As the style dictates, it is served less cold than Australian beers and has less carbonation. Brewed from a hundred year old recipe and will sure bring back memories of travels through the British Isles.
