Electric Ray is an IPL—Imperial Pale Lager—combining intense citrusy and floral American hop aroma with the clean, crisp, classic malt body of a robust blonde lager. It is both traditionally dry-hopped AND torpedoed with whole-cone American hops for an intense grapefruit and rose-like nose.

We’ve programmed Electric Sheep™ to build on a Pilsner malt foundation, which cultivates [shepherds in] a caramel aroma and a smooth, nutty flavor. German Noble hops provide just a dream of herbal sharpness at the finish. No need to flee this Belgian amber—it’s the perfect pint for any replicant or beer-lover.

The Electric Unicorn is a hop-infused White ale; best enjoyed while riding a mystical mono-horned laser beast, racing through the galaxy to the sonic backdrop of screaming metal guitars. Sweet banana fruit flavours are balanced against a citrus hop background that’s slightly spiced and finishes dry. Ditch reality and take this India pale fairy tale for a ride.

An unfiltered craft beer, this French Farmhouse ale is brewed with Pilsnermalz, malted white and dark wheat, a touch of bittering hops and just enough spicy hops to add aroma. Enjoy the intriguing subtleties of its character, its sweet fruity esters, earthy farmhouse yeast flavors, and light sour snap, all derived from the traditional 4 ingredients: grain, water, yeast and hops. Just as we depend on these four basics for our signature notes, we leave it to our signature fermentation process to yield light, playful bubbles. You won’t miss Electrostatic’s sizzling sparks of flavor.

This crackling amber ale is charged with rye and Ohio-grown Cascade hops. The Greeks called amber “elektron” because they recognized its attractive potential. We hope our amber excites your particles, too.

100% Amarillo Hops

Our wild IPA is fermented with an untamed wild yeast called Saccharomyces trois. This yeast imparts an enticing tropical fruit aroma with a slightly tart finish that complements our hop profile. The result is an assertive IPA with layers of luscious fruit, citrus, and spicy character.

As ruthlessly pointless as analyzing the lyrics from this beer's namesake, don't bother climbing up the Eiffel Tower to reach for its sophisticated tasting notes. Waiting for them to jump out is like sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun. There are perfectly subtle hints of citrus and melon, but no certain special twist. Just a classic, West Coast style IPA designed to be a refreshing summertime beer for us hopheads! Elephant Rock is a massive sandstone formation imposing itself above the wilderness near Palmer Lake. It’s a wild, natural wonder and a rewarding sight for those who venture to find it. Our American IPA has a bold, commanding spirit worthy of the local landmark. Over two pounds per barrel of late-addition hops give Elephant Rock its resinous pine and bright citrus profile. It’s monumental flavor worth discovering.

Elevation 2013 is a barrel aged Strong stout. Barrel aging will impart a bourbon character of wood, coconut, vanilla, caramel, licorice, brown sugar and cinnamon. These flavors will be noticeable in the aroma and aftertaste. Barrel aged beers are very complex and intense. They should be enjoyed over a longer period of time to allow the beer to warm up and change in complexity.

Our Eleventh anniversy ale, released in July 2006 only is a Triple IPA made exclusively with Phoenix hops. Phoenix is another one of those hops with low cohumulone levels, which means when used in very large quantities (as we do in Eleven) the hops flavor is very smooth, not a hint of harshness for the enormous amounts of hops in the brew. As with all of our Anniversay ales, this one will age fantastically and will never be made again, as each anniversary is an entirely different brew. Get it while you can and lay some down!

The Goal: To create complexity centering on oak, in a multitude of forms, by brewing high gravity beers in complementary styles, aging them in different barrel formats and then blending them together to achieve new harmonious flavors. The Puzzle: Blend these various components (or lots) to create a synergistic whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. This has once again been done with the help of a few of our neighboring Paso Robles winemakers who are practicing experts in the art of blending. The Inspiration: Firestone Walker’s oak brewing tradition and our connection with winemaking. More specifically: a study of Port wine (solera) blending tradition and how it could be applied to brewing. Of course historically, brewing is also deeply rooted in the alchemy of blending. The Barrels: The individual lots were aged in oak barrels, most of which were hand selected from premium Kentucky spirits producers by Tom Griffin, who is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about bourbon barrels and beer. Each barrel lends its own unique influence to the final blend. Tom delivered some real treats this year including a number of charred barrels that were first filled with bourbon in 1991… The year I turned 21!
