EN AVANT

Saison derives from the French speaking region of Belgium. En Avant is French for "onward" and this saison represents our mindset of always looking forward. It took awhile for our dream to become a reality and now that it is finally here, we look forward to continuing onward. This beer is brewed with Belgian pilsner malts and German spelt malt to impart a dry, tart, earthy, and nutty character. A modest dry hopping with a new Australian hop named "Summer" adds a bit of an apricot fruitiness and a light spice element.

En El Bosque

With yeast and hops in our trunks we teamed up outside Barcelona in Catalunya to brew this beer containing; an array or specialty malts, rye, moscovado sugar, hops and a hand full of Spanish cranberries (literally a hand full so don’t expect a fruit beer). Layered yet fresh, we sincerely hope that this beer will embody the passion, enthusiasm and hard work that went into making it. Salud!

En Passant

A French term meaning “In Passing,” En Passant is also a maneuver in the game of chess; in any given game there is but one opportunity to execute an En Passant before the chance is lost. Joel, Keith, and Claudia chose this name as a reminder to savor this limited release before the chance slips away. A nod to the Old Fashioned cocktail, En Passant is a mild ale brewed with two types of rye and sharply aromatic Columbus hops. The beer undergoes a secondary fermentation with Blood Orange Juice and Blood Orange Peel, giving En Passant assertive citrus notes and an appealing vermillion hue. Enjoy En Passant by itself or paired with a fine bourbon.

Enchantment Ale

Enchantment ale is a saison, a style that is categorized as a ‘farmhouse ale.’ Indeed, there are (musty?) notes of straw and hay reminiscent of walking through a farm. But these styles also have a nice fruity notes (apple and pear), with a slight perception of sweetness. Using a cousin to the Belgian yeasts, these beers ferment dry and somewhat spicy. Enchantment ale is a nice example of the basic style. We started with an above average specific gravity than normal and when it fermented very dry (just above the specific gravity of water) it produced a higher alcohol content than most of our mountainBeers. We also added some grains of paradise adding to the spicy complexity on top of the other defining characteristics. Simply enchanting.

Encore Series: Sixth Anniversary

We celebrated our first five years in business by releasing anniversary India pale ales, with each subsequent IPA brewed to be hoppier and more intense than the previous. For our 6th anniversary in 2002, we extended this concept by making an intensified version of Stone Smoked Porter. We cranked up the malts and hops a notch or three and conditioned it on French and American oak, which accentuated our porter’s distinctive smokiness and amplified its chocolate and roast coffee flavors while also adding subtle notes of toffee, cherries, dried berries and vanilla. We’re proud to give those who missed out—as well as those who didn’t—a fresh shot at experiencing this smoky, dark-as-night wonder.

This beer is crafted as a brightly coloured pale ale, straw yellow with a slight golden hue. There is the unmistakable up front aroma of Galaxy hop giving passionfruit and stone fruit. The CASCADE HOPS BALANCE THE GALAXY TROPICAL NOTES WITH CITRUS PINE CHARACTER. Together they complete a lifted aromatic complexity. The palate of our pale is fresh and fruit driven. Endless Skyway Bitter (ESB)

Endless Skyway Bitter (ESB) is inspired by a traditional English bitter, but we used a blend of hops from the Pacific Northwest to give this beer a subtle grapefruit note and distinctly American character. Like the finest English examples, it is well-balanced with a nutty maltiness and only a slightly bitter finish. “Endless Skyway” is a nod to Oklahoma’s favorite son, Woody Guthrie. The proper toast when sharing this beer is, “May there always be endless skyways above you and golden valleys below you.”
