Fistful of Steel

We used four different hops (Cascade, Amarillo, Chinook, and Simcoe) in this brew to give it a super dank hoppy flavor. You might pick up some piney characteristics and some toasty malt qualities that interact perfectly with the citrus undertones from the hops. You might say that Fistful of Steel is one of our hoppiest beers yet!

Five Points

Named for our location on East-West Highway and Georgia Ave, this beer is "hopped" like an India Pale Ale, but fermented with lager yeast. The fermentation characteristics of lager yeast allows for the hops and malts to showcase well, while leaving a clean and crisp finish to the beer. Notes of resiny pine, tangerine and peach are created by our hop blend and dominate the light malt backbone in the aroma and flavor.

Five Points Irish Red Ale

A traditional Irish Red Ale is an exploration in malt – from the dark, roasted barley we use to bring a dark color to the heavy dose of Melanoidin that gives Irish Red its classic red hue. We pair that malty body with our European yeast to bring out those malty notes – coffee, raisin and just a touch of toffee sweetness – all balanced with the apple and pear notes from our old school yeast. It’s a delight and an easy drink, perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or for every day.

Five Squared

We've done some crazy things in our time, but we dare say we outdid ourselves on this one. This monstrous beast clocking in at 25% ABV was made to support our friends at Alvinne and released at their Alvinne Craft Beer Festival in 2012. Only 216 bottles were produced and sold for charity. Our Quadrupel X (XXXX) served as a base for this beer. Our recrystallization project empowers Five Squared with an extremely full body and mouthfeel. Sweet, luscious and dark: as close to a beautiful woman as a beer might ever get!

Five String Oatmeal Stout

It was not very long ago that my father and I started on an epic journey, one that would lead us to the opening of Funky Bow Brewery and Beer Company. Along the way we decided we needed a delicious dark beer that could satisfy us and keep our spirits alive. And Suddenly the Five String Oatmeal Milk Stout was born. With its rich thick head, voluptuous tasty body, and assertive chocolate malt and roasted barley backbone, we created a new twist on an old classic. We added a touch of hops and conditioned the stout with delicious vanilla beans to add a hint of flavor.

Fix Your Heel Double I.P.A.

We use generous late-addition hops along with a carefully crafted malt bill to create this Double IPA that is nicely balanced. Expect big notes of Citrus, Mango, Peach, and Grapefruit; all these flavors and aromas come from the hops. This beer is unfiltered, so it will be a little cloudy at first. It should clear up with time.

Fizzy Good, Make Feel Nice

Ever woken up with a ‘bit’ of a Hangover? You know the feeling. That first moment you crack open your eyes, the light pierces straight through to your brain and hammers like Thor at a rave. You mouth feels like it has been visited by small creatures of the night and used as a latrine. The only sentence you can scramble together is mostly incomprehensible dribble. Don’t fret, 7 cent are here to help, drink up…. fizzy good…. make feel nice. This a sour beer fermented with a Lambic bacteria/yeast blend, made from second running of a Russian Imperial Stout and aged on Blackberries.
