This double IPA is brewed with Simcoe, Mosaic, and Motueka hops which creates a bouquet of stone fruit, citrus, and intense pineapple flavors. Crafted to minimize the bittering quality of the hops, this beer puts the flavor and floral components on the front line.

Colour and sight: Yellowy blond, cloudy because of the wheat beer. Very fine, dense and lacing white head. Scent: The sour green apple and the cider aroma give the beer a very complex smell. Flavour: Delicate, sour and light sweet fruity beer, with a soft note of cider and a sourish, green fruity sweet aftertaste.

Celebrating our local culture, we brewed a summer ale using a spice and sugar found in many Mexican desserts. Flower Child incorporates dried chamomile flower, piloncillo sugar, and lemon zest to make a dark-colored but light drinking ale. This "dark shandy" has a light refreshing body, bright citrus aroma, chamomile flavor, and the complexity of the unrefined piloncillo. Take a taste and she’ll drop a tantalizingly tart acidity beside a refreshing wheat base. Simple yet so complex, this righteous girl promises a peak experience. Peace, love and Berliner Weisse. Can you dig it?

Summertime is for love, laughter and play, not envy. Never mind those luscious, long climbing vines of spicy, herbal hop cones over there. Sure there is a time for IPA, but today we will be content with smooth and floral Saison. Be happy. Brewed with Belgian aromatic malts, wheat and noble hops. Serve in a goblet or snifter at 45F for optimal enjoyment.

The life of an old-time cutter? Well, it wasn’t always long but it could be just long enough to benefit generations. Floyd McCoy is a fine example. He cut around central Indiana until injured by a limestone slab in 1959. And while he finally succumbed to his wounds, it wasn’t before starting a fine legacy of his own, by grandfathering one of the founders of Cutters Brewing Co. Our salute is a Scotch Ale worthy of his name. Floyd’s Folly pours a nice amber color with a light tan head and boasts of full-roasted malt and caramel flavors. One taste and you’ll be thanking old Floyd, too.

Our first Spring, we brought you a magical tree full of waving babies… and the Baby Tree has stuck around, we’re happy to say. So for our second Spring, and each Spring since, we’ve made a pale gold, hoppy triple called Fluffy White Rabbits. This is a fun and Springy beer: possibly even our fun-est beer. In Yorkshire, they say “White Rabbits” on the first of the month for luck, and here’s to a lovely warm Springtime for all of us! The beer is 8.5% abv, with Saaz, Styrian Goldings and Amarillo hops added aplenty. Fluffy mouthfeel: yes, really! There’s a faint sweetness with tropical fruit undertones. Fluffy White Rabbits is a very “Pretty Things” take on a Triple. We use what we think are the finest ingredients around: malts from Weyermann (Germany) and Fawcett (Yorkshire) in this beer. It’s a fun one, we hope you enjoy it!

Fiction's cousin, this Belgian XPA showcases the newer German varieties of Hallertau Blanc and Huell Melon to offer up notes of white wine, honeydew melon, honeysuckle flowers and light and tropical fruit

Brewed with Belgian Pilsner Malt and 25% Rye malt, the beer is full-bodied with a spicy, herbal taste. A floral note arises with the addition of Yarrow, which is a flowering plant that was historically used as an alternative to hops. The beer is hopped with Warrior and Brewers Gold which impart a subtle bitterness.

Fluxus '09 was brewed in the style of the traditional Saison. For our twist, we added sweet potatoes, black pepper and a generous amount of hops. Sweet potatoes not only enhance its pale orange appearance, they contribute significant body. Centennial hops produce a bold grapefruit aroma, which is followed by a mild, honeysuckle sweetness. The intensity of both the pepper and hops are felt throughout, leaving a lingering warmth on the tongue. Papya, citrus and pepper dominate the flavor profile.

This year's Fluxus was brewed with Belgian pilsen malt, light munich, malted wheat and a variety of aromatic and colored malts. It was hopped using only Alsatian Brewers Gold . It was then fermented with our house yeast at a lower than typical temperature, resulting in a more subdued ester profile than expressed in our other house yeast beers. Primary fermentation was followed by a cold maturation or "garding" period of six weeks. The resulting beer is a medium amber colored ale with a smooth lager quality. The aroma presents a complex earthiness and toasted grains, balanced by a fruity candied grape character. The full body highlights a rounded maltiness accentuated by both nutty notes, and spicy hop flavors. The finish is remarkably dry with a wine-like character and light tannins.

Allagash Fluxus is a beer of continuous change. Brewed differently every year to commemorate our anniversary, this year's Fluxus is a porter brewed with a blend of 2-row, coffee and chocolate malts with blood orange pulp and zest. It was hopped using Perle, Tettnang and Glacier varieties. It was then fermented with a Belgian Abbey yeast. The resulting beer is dark brown in color with chocolate and roasted notes throughout the flavor and aroma. The blood orange has a subtle presence in the aroma and the zest expresses itself in the mouth-drying finish by leaving a lingering bitterness. This full bodied ale was the creation of Allagash brewer Patrick Saville, lover of heavy metal, beer and all things dark. As part of our Tribute Series, Allagash proudly donates $1 per bottle sold to the Allagash Pediatric Nurses Scholarship at the Maine Medical Center. This scholarship directly supports the training of nurses in the field of pediatrics. Yay baby nurses!
