I had been working on a very specific barrel aged beer concept for a couple years when Green Flash found its new home on Mira Mesa Blvd and Flanders Drive and I thought to myself out loud, ”How fortuitous?” The barrel aged beer that I had been researching and developing was Flanders-style Red Ale so I instantly thought to name this new beer after our new cross street, Flanders Drive (Sour Red Ale). The making of the beer uses brewers yeast, brettanomyces and lactic acid producing bacteria (lactobacillus & pediococcus) adding tartness to the malty sweet base that includes Munich Malt and Special B for a good malt backbone. We’ve been waiting for over a year for the beer to develop in oak barrels as the sourness increased and the wood added more depth and complexity. The beer is brownish-red with off-white beer foam. Aromas and flavors of sour cherries and dark fruit abound with subtle malt richness in the background for a full and rewarding sour ale. This very limited, rare beer is an extra special treat from Green Flash to commemorate 10 years of innovative brewing in the San Diego community.

Flanders red is a sour ale offering an initial impression of tart cherry candy, dissipating into a complex palate of bright acidity with a backbone of caramel and biscuit malt and minimal hop character. The dry, wine-like finish accentuates the complex malt profile and bright fruit notes showcased in this brilliant, red-colored interpretation of a Belgian-style Flanders.

A festival favorite! Aged for over a year in our sour barrel program, this blend of beers relies upon Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus to gain extra complexity and funk. The results are a bright, tart ale with notes of cherry, cranberry and caramel. Expect this dry lactic ale to be super refreshing!

Tmavé pivo Zlatý Bažant je jedinečné svojím typickým buketom, ktorý je zmesou vôní špeciálnych sladov a kvalitného chmeľu. Charakterizuje ho sladkastá karamelová príchuť a primeraná, mierna horkosť. Toto pivo je veľmi obľúbené aj v kombinácii so svetlým pivom ako tzv. rezané pivo.

Flashback Anniversary Ale is an India-Brown Ale with 6.8% ABV. This is the first beer we've made here that uses one single hop variety (Cascade) in the recipe in five separate additions. The fresh Cascade hop aroma and flavor is perfectly balanced with the dark roasted grains, making Flashback a very unique beer. We're calling it an India Brown Ale to help illustrate its flavor to the consumer. It's hoppy like an IPA but dark and roasty like a Brown Ale. Put them together and voila! Flashback at its finest!

When Fall rolls around, so does Jack. Provided he stays away from marauding trick-or-treaters, this bright orange gourd-like squash from the genus curcubita (Thanks Wikipedia!) finds his way into the mash of this Flat12 seasonal pale ale. A special blend of Indian(a) spices and pumpkin shine through just enough to complement this slightly sweet and malty tribute to the season of hayrides and bonfires. Flat out fantastic.

Full Tilt Brewing’s FLEET STREET RASPBERRY WHEAT is a refreshingly smooth yet sweet, wheat beer. The raspberry aroma and subsequent taste is ironically subtle yet memorable.
