Fresh IPA

Fort George Fresh IPA is like beer in 3D – without those silly glasses. Within 24 hours of harvest, over a ton of wet Simcoe hops from Loftus Ranches were transported, delivered, and packed into the brew tanks. Using fresh hops means bold and unblemished hop oils make their way into each can. We seal in that freshness, creating a time capsule of hop aromatics. Pure canned triumph. When you break the seal you should expect hints of citrus, resin, and fruit to flood forward, followed by a piney, earthy complexity.

Fresh Start

Spring is truly a time of rebirth in the agrarian state of Iowa. The season lifts spirits out of the winter doldrums and sends farmers back into the fields full of optimism for a new crop. Spring is also a great time to take a refreshing break from the heavy, high-alcohol winter brews. Fresh Start is part of a new trend that takes an age-old pale ale recipe and lagers it, creating a lighter, crisper beer that still has some hop bite to it. Pilsen, Vienna and Caramel 10L malts create a lightly sweet malt profile that is beautifully balanced with Amarillo and Crystal hops. The light citrus and subtle grass flavors from the hops remind us of the eagerly awaited spring.

Freshchester Pale Ale

One of the first beers I brewed after moving out to California to begin my brewing education was a Pale Ale. This version is a true testament to the influences the Wild West had on my early brewing. My Pale Ale is loaded with US-grown Cascade, Palisade, and Columbus hops, so be sure to take a good sniff to enjoy their robust aromas before taking your first sip.

Freudian Slip

Did you also at some point in your life get seduced by promising words like ‘probably (not) the best in the world’, ‘it (doesn’t really) work every time’ etc. This American Barley Wine says it how it is. It’s intense, attention seekingly hoppy and definitely your kind of beer. A beer with a big ego, drive and a huge thirst for recognition.

Freudian Slip Vienna Lager

Subconsciously you desire this beer. This beautiful, stunning lager is nice to look at in its tall, thin, shapely glass. It has a light amber color, like a strawberry blonde. It has a firm, supple, creamy head. It is smooth, but with great body. It’s malty, sweet aroma lingers like a lover’s scent on a pillow. It will leave you wanting, desiring more. (How’s that for some Freudian Slips?) But seriously, it is brewed with German malted barley, European noble hops and lagered for two months. Enjoy.
