German for March beer, which was then lagered in cold cellars until the famed Oktoberfest. You'll love this authentic malty flavour, reminiscent of marshmallow and caramel candies with hints of vanilla and spice, balanced by flowery hops. Tea-like tannins and a subtle mineral water essence in the mouthfeel. Pleasant and surprisingly strong with a clean bittersweet aftertaste.

Pale and wheat malts result in a light bodied ale. Belgian yeast provides traditional flavor and esters. Lightly hopped with Perle. This beer has been uniquely spiced with coriander, sweet and bitter orange peel, cumin seed, fresh basil, grains of paradise and angelica root.

Pale in colour with prominent hoppy palate and full flavoured finish, Golden Newt is a pale session bitter of 4.1% ABV. The beer has a prominent hop character; a blend of Fuggles, Goldings and Cascade has been used in the recipe to bring the delicate hop flavour and aroma to the fore. The use of Cascade gives a pleasing citrus aroma. Finest pale Maris Otter malt has been blended with wheat malt and rye crystal to provide a full flavoured beer. The lavish use of late hop dominates the malt flavour and results in a satisfying pint.

Grassy citrus aromas with stone fruit (pear, lychee) flavours finishing dry and crisp. The hybrid approach of using unique lager yeast fermented at warmer temperatures provide full bodied fruit flavours finishing clean and dry. This beer is almost the Sauvignon Blanc of beers.

Light gold with a frothy ivory head, Golden Pear is light and fruity on the nose. Fresh crisp pear at the front of the palate is followed by light hop bitterness and a lingering sweet finish. Sandi’s signature: A Belgian style Golden Blonde ale brewed with pears.

Clean sweetness with soft bread tones come from the malt bill. Fruit tones of citrus, apricot, and pungent hop oils can be found from the Topaz hop additions, creating a balanced pale ale perfect for several pints.

At Horse & Dragon we celebrate the beginning of the Year of the Ram with this flavorful take on a classic Belgian Golden Strong Ale. Seductive honey blonde in color with a thinly veiled Belgian laced head, the Golden Ram presents an inviting appearance and aroma. Traditional Belgian yeast characteristics – slight banana and clove and a hint of other exotic spices – are present to introduce you to this flavorful, drinkable but full-bodied refreshing ale. Depending on what you’ve just eaten (or haven’t), this beer’s flavor will change, chameleon-like, through an array from fruity to bready. By adding few more hops than called for in the traditional style, Linsey has kept this beer from veering into overly-sweet territory. We appreciate that! We tapped this beer for the first time on the first day of the Year of the Ram (or Sheep), 2/19/15, and we hope this ale is enjoyed with enormous and celebratory gatherings of friends & family.

An ALE that's very pale and at times cloudy in appearance due to it being unfiltered and the high level of wheat that's used in the mash. This beer has complex array flavors ranging from banana, clove, tropical fruit, to pepper corn. The crispness and slight twang comes from the wheat and the lively level of carbonation.

A Belgian-style strong golden ale with a wondrous range of fruit flavors like plum, apricot, and cherry imparted by special Belgian yeast. Traditionally served in special goblets this style of beer can turn an ordinary lunch into an extraordinary event and a slow Sunday afternoon into a special Golden Sabbath.

We used spicebush leaves, twigs and dried berries from Integration Acres, local honey from Cantrell, and some locally organic grown Willamette hops from our friend Steve Patterson. The base style is a golden ale that will showcase the lemon/ pine characters from the spicebush leaves and twigs. The dried berries add a bit of an allspice aroma and flavor. I chose to use honey because in many of the colonial spicebush tea recipes I referenced honey was used. Round it out with some local hops and we have a sustainable beverage to keep everyone happy.

Truly Evans’ American Premium Lager. This beer was brewed with all Californian grown pilsner malt and all American grown Liberty hops. The recipe and brewing was executed by Evan Price and Evan Weinberg, two Southern California based brewers in a local brewery (Noble) for locals. This is a direct response to the contract brew “Evan’s Premium Lager” that is brewing in Mexico on contract and is entirely marketing based business.
