This is Southern California, it’s the place where Blind Pig started the Imperial IPA revolution and San Diego Brewers have continued to be at the forefront of its evolution. Today, fans of Double IPA come from every corner of the globe in search of many of the world’s best and most incredibly well hopped beers. It’s no secret that you can find many of them at Port Brewing as well. Like you, we love these beers and mostly we enjoy the happiness they bring us. First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Pizza Port in Solana Beach, Hop 15 was imagined and designed by Tomme Arthur and Jeff Bagby as a celebration of 15 years of “Good Beer Brings Good Cheer.” Hop 15 has 15 different hop varieties added to the beer every 15 minutes. Over the years, Hop 15 has racked up numerous accolades. It has won two silver medals at the Great American Beer Festival. It also was named Alpha King in 2004 and 2008, and received a first place award at the Bistro Double IPA beer festival in Hayward, CA. Hop 15 remains won of the stickiest most resinous beers we have ever tasted and for that, we are thankful it is on tap at our brewery each and every day.

Watch out for the hop baron, brewed for over two hours with over four varieties of american hops, an ibu rating of 103! Hop baron is an imperial ipa that is so smooth you wont even know that you are drinking an 8.5% abv beer!

The Hop Bet Red is a hoppy American red ale. It is brewed with lots of sweet caramel malts and the perfect amount of hops to create a complex yet balanced hoppy red ale.

This smooth drinking blonde ale is known for its unique hop aroma and easy drinkability. It's a great option for the light beer drinker who wants to east into the craft beer scene.

Please take note: There is NO actual pot used in this beer. Hop Brownie may remind you of the “special batch” of brownies you had that one time, dark and chocolatey with an intensely dank hop bitterness. Crafted to satisfy your secret inner stoner cravings, Hop Brownie is brewed with a blend of chocolate malts, dry cocoa powder and a touch of hazelnut for rich chocolate flavor. A trio of high-alpha hops creates the aroma and flavor reminiscent of that special ingredient you wish was in every batch of brownies. Hop Brownie is a special collaboration project between Independence Brewing Co. and the Texas Tavern League, whose members include some of the best craft beer bars in Texas.

Brewed with blood orange purée and fresh grapefruit zest, this beer is unlike any other. The richness of blood oranges pairs nicely with the tart flavor of grapefruit and hops. We dry hopped this beer with Amarillo and other top secret hops. Why the name Hop Burglar? Level 5 clearance required for this information.

It's Spring time! This light crisp pale ale, brewed with exclusively late addition hops, is packed with tons of citrus and tropical fruit hop aroma. The technique referred to as 'hop bursting' is continually hopping the kettle every couple minutes. We used this 'hop burst' method to compliment the light malt body with a burst of hop aroma from Amarillo, Centennial, Columbus, and Nugget hop varieties.

Hop Centric is a beer that insists on being different, standing out from the crowd with giant hop flavors and powerful aromas of pine and citrus. Big and bold, this Double IPA’s hop profile is balanced nicely by sweet caramel and brown sugar notes. A hint of spice and an abundance of complex fruit characteristics rounds out this unrelentingly flavorful ale. Released each year at the Two Brothers Summer Festival, Hop Centric brings massive hops and flavors to the season.

When it comes to hops, late kettle additions are some of our favorites. We took a classic American Pale Ale and hopped it with Mosaic and Citra because of their blend of earthy, pine, tropical fruit and citrus qualities. We then aged this copper colored, medium-light bodied pale ale on cocoa nibs to impart chocolate and roasted notes with no impact on the color. This beer drinks like a certain bittersweet chocolate, almond and coconut candy bar that shall remain nameless!

Some claim that our Hop Circle India Session Ale is of extraterrestrial origin. This easy-drinking wheat beer packs a big hoppy punch without overwhelming bitterness, creating an out-of-this-world drinking experience, which begs the question if this is a truly alien encounter. Despite its terra firm origins, drinking more than one may inspire you to search for lights in the night sky, take to the front lawn to mow your own enigma, and ponder the eternal question, "What were those guys drinking?"
