This sweet stout is dark black with moderate body and a dense brown head. The malty sweet chocolate flavors are balanced with coffee-like characters of black malt and roasted barley. Oatmeal is added for a silky smooth mouth feel
A deep red ale created with roasted barley and crystal malt. Mildly hopped with Fuggles & Goldings to let the caramel grain shine through. We like to think the Irish would be proud--no one from the Emerald Isle has complained to us yet.
Our Irish Red Ale features a distinct focus on richly roasted specialty malts, making for an extremely aromatic and flavorful experience. This Irish Red pairs perfectly with blustery springtime afternoons and a nice corned beef sandwich.

We brewed up an easy drinking Irish Red to accompany San Antonio’s pre-summer (known to most as Spring). It’s malty with toffee, caramel notes and a slight fruity undertone that settles into a smooth and light finish.
Top of the mornin’ to ya! This Irish Red is slightly sweet with an almost tea-like hop flavor. It is well rounded and finishes dry. Here just in time for St. Patricks Day…and just as good everyday after!
With a deep red hue, our Irish Style Red Ale is an easy drinking, smooth, lighter-bodied ale with a medium to low hop bitterness and a toffee-like, roasted, dry, yet malty, clean finish.

Our Irish Red keeps true to the malty finish of a traditional Irish Red. With a strong caramel and toffee-like malt character, a bit of toasted bread and a slight hint of bitterness round out our version of this March favorite Irish Red ales are a St. Patrick’s Day favorite and is a spring seasonal at Blue Stallion Brewing.. Served in a pub glass, enjoy this sipping beer with a meal from one of the many food vendors that visit Blue Stallion 7 days a week.
Just in time for St. Patricks day, this Irish style red ale definitely has a big malt profile. This beer is the antithesis of our Amber Waves ale. It has a low hop bitterness and aroma, this allows the caramel malt flavors to dominate. It has a medium body, and is very easy going down.
This malt forward ale has a dark amber hue from small additions of caramel and roasted barley malts complimenting it’s English base malt flavors. Light hop additions keep the focus of this Irish ale on the malt profile. Fermented at cooler temps with a British ale yeast, the esters are very mild and allow the characteristics of the malt to shine.

A tip of the hat to the early Irish brewers in Dayton, this classic is as red as the kettles in which it is brewed. It has an all-around balance of malty flavor and hops with a touch of sweetness from roasted barley.
A Short’s version of a classic Irish-Style Red Ale. This deep ruby red colored gem offers a wonderful sweet soft malty nose w/ delicate toasted qualities and slight creamy notes. A medium bodied ale that focuses on flavorful toasted malt characteristics lending subtle caramel-like sweetness, along w/ an enjoyable effervescence, allowing for a clean and dry finish.
Invest today in a Fifth Street Brewpub IRA! Hold on! That’s I.R.A. as in Irish Red Ale! This FSB Irish Red is brewed with the same devotion (and classic recipe) as the legendary Irish Red ales of Kilkenny and Wexford. Young Brewmaster Darren O’Link has captured the distinctive Irish red flavor profile…to perfection. Irish Red is a tiny bit sweet with a rich malty mouthfeel and is perfectly balanced by a clean UK hop character. Invest a bit more time and see if you can pick up the slight caramel notes in the finish because this ale is more complex than the drinkable 5.0% ABV might suggest. Irish Red is an investment you’ll keep returning to!
