Brewed with over 20 lbs of locally grown pumpkins, butternut squash and sweet potatoes that were roasted in a maple and bourbon glaze, added directly to the mash followed up by several friendly spice additions to the boil. More than 90% of all ingredients were produced in NY.

Originally released in 2009 as Divine Reserve No. 9, it is an imperial pumpkin stout and our answer to how a pumpkin beer ought to taste. This year’s version comes in at 10% ABV. It is brewed with a combination of pale two row, caramel and black malts, Cascade and Liberty hops for a background hop flavor, pumpkin for a rich mouthfeel, molasses and brown sugar, and spiced and dry-spiced to make it feel like you just walked into your mom’s kitchen while she was cooking 37 pumpkin pies. It is the most expensive beer we have brewed.

A high gravity pumpkin ale brewed with barley, fresh roasted pumpkin, hops, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, star anise, water and yeast, it is one of the local seasonal favorites. This beer is produced in very limited quantities each fall as part of the John Mitchell series.

Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale is a crisp and refreshing wheat ale with delightful aromatics and subtle spiced flavor.

A traditional Pumpkin brown ale spiced with cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. Rich and soothing aromas will remind you of fall baking, while the clove, cinnamon and nutmeg are balanced by the darker brown malts. A delicious fall monster!

A crisp light Belgian Blonde brewed with pumpkin and spiced with clove, cinnamon and nutmeg. The distinctive Belgian yeast is balanced and complemented by the light flavors of Pumpkin and spices.

Ever been punched in the face with a fist full of hops? Well pucker up, because at 100 IBUs you’re about to take one straight to the kisser. Weighing in at 9.2% ABV, this brew isn’t a love tap, it’s a haymaker.

Q: "What do you call it when you take a sip of oak barrel aged Double Bastard Ale that's had the other half of the bounty of chili peppers from Greg's home garden ceremoniously added in, resulting in a punishingly intense level of hot pepper heat to an already overly intense beer whose elevated alcohol level caused a significant transference of pain-inducing capsicum?" A: "Punishment."

According to Head Brewer, Shawn Sherlock, "The basic idea for this beer is that it is an invented style - a hybrid of a few Belgian styles and influenced by Saisons, Belgian Blond Ales, with a nod to Belgian Trippels." The beer isn't a hop driven style by any means but there is a stronger presence than in most Belgian styles which adds to the overall complexity of the beer.

Here in the land of eternal sunshine, it can be difficult to differentiate between seasons. Palm tree fronds don’t change color and fall to the sand, though the mercury does drop a few degrees, it’s still as paradisiacal as Southern California lore would have you believe. So, from now on, count on this imperial pumpkin ale heralding in the fall season. Brewed with brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and a heaping helping of would be jack-o-lanterns, Punk’In Drublic delivers autumn’s trademark flavors along with a hint of West Coast character, whether enjoyed in a pumpkin patch or on the beach.

Is there a better fall treat than pumpkin pie? Nope, which is why there are so many pumpkin beers out there. It's also why ours is based on the dessert, not the gourd. Our twist: Punkel has no pumpkin. It's a dark, malty German lager but with a lighter body enhanced by cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and ginger. Because who doesn't like a little trick with their treat?

A full-bodied brown ale with smooth hints of pumpkin and brown sugar. We brew our Punkin Ale with pumpkin meat, organic brown sugar and spices. This is the perfect beer to warm-up with, as the season cools. Punkin Ale is named after a locally-famous and seriously off-centered event here in southern Delaware - Punkin Chunkin (check out some of these Discovery Channel videos of Punkin Chunkin, you gotta see it to believe it!). In fact, Punkin Ale made it's debut as it claimed First Prize in the 1994 Punkin Chunkin Recipe Conest - yes, that was a full 6 months before we even opened our doors for business. Punkin Chunkin has grown in size and scale with pumpkins now being hurled more than 4,000 feet through the air! If you come down to see if for yourself - come by and visit us. Since then, we've brewed Punkin Ale each and every fall. It is released right around September first each year. When you find it, grab some extra because it's usually gone by Thanksgiving.

Our seasonal pumpkin beer made with 250 pounds of heirloom Cinderella varietal pumpkins sourced from the Homestead Farms in Maryland and our own special, house-blend of pumpkin pie spices. Medium bodied and very low hopped so the spiced pumpkin flavors are forward.
