Pupkin Ale

Pupkin Ale is our tribute to the Gebhard Brewery in Morris, IL. This brewery only used the “finest” ingredients at the time… It also happens to resemble our name! We used only organic malt and pumpkin to create this autumn gem. There are plenty of local spices as well to round out the flavors that make you want to sit around a campfire with this beer and eat a pumpkin pie! Pupkin typically runs about 5-6% ABV

This beer is assertive, but not overbearing despite being hopped at the top end of the style. Enjoy a Puppet Show, or whatever you are doing, but keep one hand free to hold your glass.

Puppy's Breath

Due to their immature digestive system and their diet, the breath of a puppy can smell like coffee or chocolate. This porter is loaded with roasted malts that have the wonderful smell of chocolate and coffee. This reminds us of our loving companions as we drink and reflect. There are 3 different labels this year for Puppy’s Breath, featuring the 3 winners of our puppy label contest. They are: Easy, owned by Kristinn Oli; Joffrey, owned by Doug Crandal; and Louie, owned by Misty Lombardi.

Pure & Simple IPA

The Prep Kitchen Restaurant Group approached New English to see if we'd make a special beer for their 5th anniversary... We rose to the challenge and this beer is a result. To make a beer different from anything else we brew, we selected UK Golden Promise as 100% of the base malt, Carapils and light crystal malts. We decided that 6.5% ABV was the sweet spot. Not too over the top, but not a session beer either. To ensure enough bitterness to be a west coast style IPA, we set the IBUs at 75, achieved with Nugget and Centennial as the early kettle additions. Flavor and aroma come from late kettle additions of Citra and Mosaic, with loads more of both these wonderful hops added as dry hops in the fermenter.

Pure Brewed Organic Lager

Brewed with great care using only malted barley, hops, medium-soft water and a bottom-fermenting yeast; matured at low temperatures to bring out its delicate flavour and soft hop-character finish. The cold maturation period allows the bottom-fermenting yeasts to secondary ferment and improve this lager’s flavour, purity and condition. Serving Suggestions • Trout amandine; salmon (fresh and smoked); all white fish; roast chicken (hot or cold); hors d’oeuvres; quiche Lorraine and salad. Best served at about 44°F (7°C). Ingredients • Water, malted barley, yeast, hops, carbon dioxide.

Pursuit of Hoppiness

Pursuit of Hoppiness Imperial Red Ale is brewed to showcase the brash beauty of American hops: Bravo, Chinook, and Columbus at 100 International Bitterness Units (IBU). The hops grown in the United States are considered to be some of the best in the world. Compared to their more traditionally subdued, elegant European counterparts, American hops are bold, bright, piney and zesty. This ale is brewed with Idaho 2-Row pale malted barley and German specialty malts to provide a rich, slightly caramel flavor and bold reddish color. At 18.5 degrees Plato starting gravity and about 8.5% alcohol by volume, this thick and warming beer is to be shared and savored.
