Extra Hoppy Amber Weiss. Mahr’s master brewer has a new love -- an exciting and saucy new variety of Hallertauer hop called Saphir, German for "sapphire." There’s a metric ton of Saphir hops in this ground-breaking Weiss.

Why is the Grim Reaper holding a mailbox? Well, that mailbox is from a dead Dark Horse beer. The Grim Reaper better know as "Death" was quite found of our classic Sapient Summer Wheat Ale. When we changed it into a Belgian Style Triple, Death thought it would only be appropriate to bring something from that beer into this beer. So he picked the mailbox, and we weren’t about to argue with him. You can say what you want about him, but that Death sure has a big heart. So anyway...we brewed this beer with a Trappist yeast strain so it is very traditional. The flavors are incredibly complex with notes of mild fruit and finishes with a bit of clove. Although this beer is higher in alcohol it is very smooth and finishes dry on the pallet.

American white wheat is paired with Belgian crystal malts crafting full-bodied caramel wheat. 168 pounds of tart cherry puree impart continuous subtle cherry notes. Malt really plays the staring role in this beer with cherries adding a beautiful burgundy color and landing some soft fruity jabs on the palate.

In keeping with the tradition of Dunkel Weizen, we've used a sweet addition of Cara and roast malts to add to the interest. Saranac Belgian Ale is Deliciously Fruity. It is brewed with a generous amount of Belgian Aromatic Malt, Hand selected hops, and a traditional Belgian ale yeast. Brewed in the Trappist Style.

Saranac Black Diamond Bock is a rich, malty brew, made with traditional German malts and hops and fermented with a lager yeast. Aged for months for a rich but smooth malty taste. A nice reward for enduring your winter months.

In the dusk of winter, when you come in from the cold, grab a Saranac Black Lager to warm up by the fire! This black, German style Schwarzbier has a full body and dark chocolaty flavor. Look for hints of coffee and waves of maltiness that will make you warm and "roasty".

Bock is not from the bottom of the barrel! It is a rich malty beer brewed with traditional German ingredients and aged for months to give it a smooth malty character. Look for a rich full-bodied beer.

Belgian style Saison fermented with a unique blend of Brettanomyces yeasts and then aged in American rye whiskey barrels. The resulting beer is a mix of fruity and wild, with notes of overripe fruit, black pepper, and spicy whiskey character.
