Our winter lager is perhaps our most famous beer, though no longer the strongest. Like all traditional German Dopplebocks it is richly spicy with a subtly sweet malt palate and a clean, crisp, dry hop finish. Historically, dopplebocks were brewed with high alcohol content and served as “liquid bread” for the monks while fasting. Monks who brewed the first dopplebocks named their beer salvator meaning “savior.” Today, brewers often add “ator” to the ending of their beers as a nod to the style. This year ABC is reviving our commitment to Terminate Hunger through a partnership with The Breakfast St. Andrew’s. $1 from each Terminator sold will be donated to the St. Andrew’s Homeless Breakfast program.

Brewers Whim #2 Upstreams Terre Mere Saison French for "Mother Earth" is delicately spiced with jasmine flowers, & green tea. Another addition to the unique flavor of this fabulous product is the seven varieties of grain, German hallertau mittelfruh hops, and a special Upstream Brewing Company proprietary Belgian yeast blend. Topped by a sumptuous head of foam, Terrible possesses a fruity aroma enriched with notes of roasted malt and Madeira. Its long lasting flavour is both elegant and full bodied. Terrible is a dark brown beer on lees and is part of a collection of exotic and refined Unibroue beers brewed using 100% natural raw materials. It may be drunk as an aperitif or as an after dinner digestive. It is equally a perfect accompaniment to the above-mentioned dishes or a pleasant alternative to coffee.

This imperial recipe begins with a big, rich stout packed with chocolate and coffee malts as well as oatmeal, and ends after a very generous hop addition. A portion of the brew was then aged in oak barrels and the remainder was aged in our cellar. Before sending out the 2010 vintage, the two were blended for the perfect winter warmer.

The Rye Wine Ale began with several extended days in the brewhouse. Following fermentation, the ale was aged in barrels for nearly a year. This big, malt-forward beer is well worth the wait. The nose is filled with oak and caramel, leading to superb mouth feel and intense, warming notes of toffee and toasted coconut. This beer has much to offer the taste buds now, but will surely age quite well. Our Territorial Reserve series pays tribute to the pioneering settler and features limited run, barrel aged beers that highlight staple brewing grains in each offering. Our team continually scrutinizes and refines each vintage in a quest to perfect our vision for these styles. This luminous hazy-golden beauty is bursting with layers of super fresh, hoppy complexity: aromas of berry, tropical fruit, and citrus are married to undertones of resinous, dank spruce. Inspired more by Vermont IPA’s than the typical west coast style, the bitterness is firm yet soft around the edges, and the mouth feel is creamy and luscious. Brewed with Mosaic, Falconer’s Flight, and Citra hops.

Crushable, dark toffee, caramel, and toasty malt forward amber with pracific northwest hops rounding out complexity.

Red and fruity... The Tête Rousse is brewed with barley malts with some malt called "crystal" or "pie", that is to say with a kilning performed at higher temperature. His bitterness is marked but not excessive. It is slightly malty with hints of caramel. As an aperitif, to remake the world with friends!

Our flagship Teton Ale® is a full bodied, American-style amber with a rich copper color which comes from the roasted Crystal and Munich malts. We use Cascade and Galena hops to achieve the unique, fresh flavor and robust finish that is long and complex on the palate.

Legend has it that in WWI, the fortitude and ferocity shown by Marines earned them a fearsome nickname by their German counterparts: Teufel Hunden, or “Devil Dogs.” That savage sobriquet has stuck around to inspire new generations of soldiers towards honor and tenacity. This fall, Service Brewing Co. introduces its own devilish brew. Teufel Hunden is a traditional Oktoberfest-style Marzen lager, unfiltered with a deep copper hue, a toasted malt aroma and a clean, dry finish.

Crisp and clean mouth feel, along with moderate malt sweetness. It is made with 100% malted barley- no corn or rice. This beer has a low amount of hop bitterness and is a well-balanced, palate-quenching session beer.
