This Nut Brown is brewed with English Ale yeast. In English tradition, we use only English Fuggle hops, which are low in bitterness and produce a mild floral hop taste. The complexity of this Nut Brown is created mainly by the Chocolate and Dark Chocolate malted barley. There is a roasted coffee flavor with hints of chocolate and nutty or nutmeg finish on the back of the tongue. This Nut Brown has the widest spectrum of flavors of any Nut Brown on the market. Pairs great with steaks and sautés. 2010 New Mexico State Fair Winner: Best Overall Ale and a Gold in the Brown category.

Don't be intimidated by the rich walnut color. This beer is really not heavy at all. It is very smooth with no bitterness, and has a real warming, nut-like flavor and aroma. Brewed to match a traditional English mild, it has carbonation levels that are more American. Our "flagship" brew, it's a very social drink and goes great with all types of food.

BBC Nut Brown Ale has a diverse grain bill which lends this traditional English ale a variety of flavors that coalesce into a remarkably smooth and pleasant drink. Additions of various pale, caramel and dark malts create a smooth, sweet malt profile with hints of roasted nuttiness. Multiple additions of English hops round out the flavors and give this classic beer a true flavor of the Old World.

This style of beer is based on the English Mild, which was a combination of a stout and a lighter beer favored by coal miners in Scotland, Ireland and North England. We've brought together the grains used to make both a Stout and a Pale Ale and balanced them in our Nut Brown Ale to produce a beer with a chocolate and molasses flavor and hints of caramel and coffee in the background.

Blackstone Nut Brown Ale was designed by Blackstone brewmaster Dave Miller. It is light on the palate, caramel brown in color with medium bodied and a nutty, smooth toasty finish. Blackstone Nut Brown follows more closely with the brown ales of Northern England that are rich and nutty in flavor. Tasting notes: Appearance: Deep amber brown in color with a creamy light tan head. Aroma: Malty sweet; dark malt smells include toffee, caramel and a little chocolate. Taste: rich, malty and somewhat sweet, with a touch of bitterness to round it out. Features toasted and caramel malts and a nutty character. Mouth feel: Medium-light body Finish: Light hop bitterness Overall: Dark in color but light in flavor and body. Enjoyable and easy to drink.

This English-style Brown Ale is a lightly hopped beer with a nutty, roasted character derived from Chocolate specialty malts. A deep, mahogany color with a surprisingly mild yet balanced finish.

Our Nut Brown Ale exhibits a beautiful nut-like aroma. This russet-colored ale is brewed with a variety of darker malts, lending to a wonderfully composed and complex flavor. Subtle hop bitterness works well to balance the Nut Brown Ale.

Is a nut hatchet a hatchet for nuts? Maybe it’s an old Northcoast legend of some nut running around with a hatchet. Either way, this Nut Hatchet cuts in broad strokes with its hints of toffee and toasted nuts. You’ll notice the balance of sweet maltiness and soft fruit, but its gentle caramel notes will really stand out. You know what else really stands out? That Nut Hatch that we just saw sitting on a hatchet outside the window.

While hops and bitterness are all the rage today this beer takes time to explore the complexity and character of malt. This red is really more of a rich scarlet and is created from a wide variety of specialty malts carefully milled together to form layers of toast, roast, and biscuit, with a nutty finish. These are balanced with mild and complementary hops resulting in a beer neither too bitter nor too sweet.

Big, malty, hoppy…all wrapped together to form our NW Red. A blend of five malt varieties commingle to create a dark red color and a big malt base to balance the generous amounts of hops that are added. Late kettle additions and dry-hopping with Ultra and Sterling hops bring out the hop character that many in the Northwest crave.

O'Doul's and O'Doul's Amber are non-alcohol malt beverages. O’Doul’s has a mild, sweet taste with a slightly dry finish. O’Doul’s Amber has a rich, slightly sweet taste with flavorful hop finish. O’Doul’s and O’Doul’s Amber are brewed as traditional premium beers – fermented and aged to full maturity. The alcohol is then removed through the use of low temperature, low-pressure distillation. This extremely gentle process allows the alcohol to be removed without heating or cooking the beer, which retains the full, rich and delicate flavor and balance of our non-alcohol brews.

Formerly known as Moling’s Red Ale and now carrying the family name of the brewery founders, this full-bodied Irish red, ruby in colour, is fruity and aromatic with a distinctive hop character balanced with a generous blend of sweet malts and has a distinctive roast finish.

O’Hara’s Leann Folláin (”leann folláin” being the Gaelic/Irish phrase meaning wholesome ale or stout) is a full-bodied extra Irish stout launched in 2009 following the very positive feedback to our limited edition O’Hara’s Celebration Extra Stout which was brewed in 2008. We have now included “Leann Folláin” in our 500ml bottle core brand range. O’Hara’s Leann Folláin at 6.0% abv is laden with complex chocolate and coffee flavours balanced by a robust bitterness and delicate spicy aroma imparted from the generous portions of Northdown and Fuggle Hops.

Oak Cliff Coffee Ale started out as an idea to build a beer specifically to compliment an addition of locally roasted coffee. We came up with a base beer that is an oatmeal brown ale made with an addition of milk sugar. We reached out to Shannon Neffendorf at Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters and sampled some of his cold brews paired with our beer. One coffee, in particular, played really nicely with the beer. It's called Carmen and it's a naturally processed coffee bean from a farm in Panama. The coffee was personally delivered to us, and ground fresh at the brewery, just before we made a 1 pound per barrel cold infusion of our own. We let it brew for 24 hours before we add the cold infusion during transfer from fermentation vessel to brite tank. Not only is Oak Cliff Coffee Ale a great showcase of two local businesses who are highly dedicated to their craft, it also showcases the possibilities and importance of Direct Trade Coffee.
