It is made using 100% Granny Smith apples. This cider has a mouth-watering flavor that is tangy and tart, with just a touch of sweetness.

Every once in a while you know you stumble upon something glorious. That something just so happens to be our Private Reserve Pumpkin. We have combined our signature taste with a refreshing pumpkin finish. Limited to just two and half hours on the production line this is a true connoisseur's cider.

Woodcut No. 2, an oak aged golden ale, was brewed over six months ago on the brewer’s pilot brewing system. The golden ale has been aging in virgin oak barrels and will bottle condition in cork finish, 750 ml bottles. Crafted with fine specialty malts and hops, Woodcut No. 2 is a golden copper color. The rich toffee like malt character is balanced by soft tannins. Freshly cut wood and vanilla bean aromas compliment the beer.

Our first lager offering in the Woodcut series, Woodcut No. 4 Oak Aged Lager provides an exceptional “base” for showcasing the importance of hand selected, hand coopered, medium toast, American virgin oak barrels. By choosing a double Marzen style lager, our brewers were able to design a beer that showcases the caramel malty characters of a Marzen along with the clean warming alcohol character only an 11% lager can provide. The nose of this beer is rich in complexity, providing pineapple, dried apricot, raisin and a pleasantly soft muskiness. Toasted oak overtones balance these aromas with a light cedar quality. As the warming alcohol coats the palate a soft vanilla lingers on the tongue imparted by the medium toast virgin oak.

We age our Abbey Brown or Two Blind Monks in Jack Daniels Barrels with Madagascar Vanilla Beans. This beer is very rare and we make very small batches.

To create Wooden Rooster, we took Velvet Rooster, our Belgian-style Tripel, and aged it in rye whiskey barrels, giving it an oaky vanilla finish. Pours a deep gold color with a lofty, pure white head; clean and crisp, with subtle fruit and floral notes and a touch of candy-like sweetness; slight spice in flavor; rye whiskey, vanilla and oak prominent in aroma and flavor.

The first release from our Wooden Soul series of sour, funky, wild, and barrel-aged beers, Wooden Soul #1 began as our Derailed Series Saison. Brewed with Dupont yeast, then finished with Brux III and Brettanomyces Claussinii, the beer is a blend between the three yeast strains. Residing in white wine barrels, the brett has taken up a healthy residency in the barrels. Expect aromas of tropical fruit, grape, and earthy funk. This beer is dry, tart, and well balanced, with moderate to high carbonation.

This is our Second Anniversary Ale, a Belgian Golden Strong, soured with Brettanomyces yeast in oak barrels for three months. Wooden Spoke Two starts with a sour nose leading into a light body with mild sour notes and a Belgian fruit character. Finishes dry – this one dried all the way out in the barrel.

Our take on the “Red Ale” of the United States’ Pacific Northwest, the Woodhead Amber Ale is as delicious as it is beautiful. A slightly hoppier finish than is typical of many South African examples which leads to superior sessionability. Woodhead is the name of one of the five dams built on Table Mountain at the turn of the 20th century to supply water to Cape Town. A landmark and feat worthy of continued recognition.
