Babe's Belgian Vanilla Blonde Ale

Winner 2014 GABF, 2015 US Open Beer championship. This medium bodied blonde ale was created with 2-row, pilsen, wheat, and vienna malts. The beer was hopped with french spalt and german hallertau. What makes this blonde so special is the presence of the belgian yeast, all natural raisins, and three different additions of whole Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans. Aged with french oak spirals. The combinations here make for a delicious 7.5% Belgian style ale.

CINfully HOPnotic

The roots of Bad Tom Smith’s family tree stretch far and wide – even up to Cincinnati, where head brewer and distant relative Sean Smith makes his stand. CINfully HOPnotic DIPA is brewed with five varieties of excellent hops: Citra, Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, and a heaping amount of Green Bullet, making it incredibly dank and resiny to boot. Clocking in at 10% ABV, CINfully HOPnotic will be sure to leave you in a trance.

Glutiny Golden Ale

Hoist your pints to the mutiny against gluten, and toast to Glutiny Golden Ale, our new uncompromised gluten-reduced beer designed for the discerning craft drinker. For this new year-round release, we dosed the beer with colorful Nugget, Goldings and Cascade hops, and then turned around and dry-hopped it again with Cascade, lending bright grapefruit and subtle herbal notes to the wash of bready-sweet malts; additions of oats adds a layer of smoothness to the mouthfeel. Finally, we used a special enzyme during the brewing process, which breaks down the gluten. The result is super sessionable, flavorful golden ale that starts sweet and finishes crisp. Ready to join the uprising? Taste the Glutiny. [The fine print: This product is fermented from grains containing gluten and crafted to remove gluten. Red Ensign

Raspberry wheat beers mean a lot to me. When big events happen, I brew this style of beer to celebrate. When I got married in 1991 I brewed one. When I took over as brewmaster of Mill Street in 2007 I brewed another one. For Canada’s 150th birthday this year, I have designed Red Ensign. It is named after the original flag of Canada at the time of Confederation and nothing could be more emotive with it comes to the birth of our nation than our flag. This beer is made with malt from the Prairies, hops from Ontario, and raspberries from BC so it represents our country from many points of view.

Tiny Horse

Tiny Horse Pilsner is named after the tiny model horses on Portland’s sidewalks tethered to old metal horse rings. But don’t let the name fool you, Tiny Horse is big on drinkability and flavor. We start with locally- sourced pilsner malt with just a touch of Vienna malt to give it that signature crisp, clean finish. We then add a variety of Willamette Valley hops to give this brew the perfect balance of bitterness and floral aroma.

Vanilla Pumpkin

We decided to add some locally produced cold-pressed Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla to our most popular seasonal– O’Fallon Pumpkin. The vanilla adds another layer of flavor to the “pumpkin pie” theme of this amber ale and balances well with the cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. It tastes like a slice of pumpkin pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it!

Villainous

All right, the plan is set. Put together the best aspects of a west coast IPA with the approachability of an east coast IPA. Make it both juicy AND hoppy at the same time. How did you do that? Four kinds of yeast instead of one. Boatloads of classic bittering hops alongside the latest juice-bomb hops. A nefarious plan to be sure.
