It’s a sign of where we’ve come to that release notes from breweries can include phrases such as “approx 2 passionfruit per can” and it seems perfectly normal. In the case of Green Beacon’s 7 Bells, a beer that’s been seen for some time on tap and has now graduated into tinnies, the fruit comes accompanied by Himalayan pink salt and lactobacillus, making it very much a beer for today. It’s also very much a beer for summer, joining the brewery’s excellent Wayfarer in bringing refreshment in spades. Indeed, if you’re someone who’s made peace with acidic tang in your beers then this will likely replace the Wayfarer as Green Beacon beer of choice when you’re after something to quench a thirst in a hurry. 7 Bells is in a hurry to deliver that slightly sour tang too – no one’s going to be complaining that they’ve reined in the kettle soured elements here – with the passionfruit and a balancing sweetness completing the picture in a beer that comes with the Brisbane brewery’s now trademark poise; so well judged, in fact, you might mistake it for a soft drink – and not just for its very purple cans.

This cider is made from a blend of traditional English, French and American cider apples. Like wine grapes, true cider apples have an ideal balance of tannins, acid and sugar needed to produce a fermented beverage. A secondary bottle fermentation creates natural carbonation. Golden, bubbly, and semi-dry, Bittersweet is crisp and fruity, with a hint of earthy tannins. Pairs well with most foods. Serve Chilled.

Aged over 4 months in a once used Kentucky bourbon barrel. The barrel character is quite pronounced and lends a marriage of heat, vanilla and maple character with the soft roast and smooth pecan notes of the original porter. Very limited release.

Traditional Vietnamese coffee and cacao nibs to the fermenter, melding the roasted, deep cocoa flavors of this French-derived coffee style with the silky mouthfeel and mocha flavors of a milk stout. Rich flavors and notes of chicory make this wild hybrid smooth as suede and as robust as robusta.

English: We have brewed on this beer on a long time and we finally think it is a should. A very majestic stout with a hint of roasted barley malt, smoke malt, coffee, some spices and to top it all a drop of rum. The beer has been seasoned on oak wood. This beer can stored many years in a dark closet or cellar, but is also ready to drink when it leaves our brewery. Buy an extra bottle and stash it for a special occasion in some years. It will develop like a god wine- only get better and better by the years.

Our Belgian-style Quad is influenced by the grandest of the Trappist or Abbey ales. This version, based on our gold medal winning Belgian Style Dubbel is a complex mix of premium malt, esters and alcohol combined with our expressive House Blend of Belgian yeast. A skillfully brewed blend of lager and wheat beer styles, Inedit uses a combination of barley malt, wheat, hops, coriander, orange peel, yeast and water. Uniquely brewed to create a complex aroma and opaque appearance, a floral nose leaves a sensation of fresh yeast and sweet spices. Lightly carbonated with a creamy texture, the soft full body leaves a long and lasting finish.

Our Ginger-Apricot Honey Wine (mead) is a wonderful meld of ginger spice, apricot tanginess, and honey sweetness! The alcohol content is 12%. As with all of our meads, it was aged with oak. A light woodiness accompanies the other flavors to perfection!

A classic Belgian style blonde wheat beer. It is naturally cloudy using Australia’s premium wheat, malt, and coriander. Natural orange peel used in the brewing process lets luscious hints of citrus seep through what is believed to be Australia’s most delicious blonde head. Awarded 2 medals at the Australian and International beer awards 2002. Winner of Australia’s best wheat beer in 2002 and 2003. In 2003 it won 4 medals including worlds best draught wheat beer and more in 2005 -2011. A great accompaniment to Thai food, curries, barbeques and an exceptional balcony beer. Imperial Stout brewed with heather honey and aged on oak-barrels for 2½ months. Serve at minimum 14 dgs. Share the bottle. It was first brewed in October 2005 and ages well for several years. Beer is Art! 2005 version is 9%. 2006 version is 10%. 2007 version is 9%, released 2008-09-11. 2008 version is 9.5%, released 2009-09-17. 2009 version is 9.5%, released 2010-09-23 2010 and 2011 versions cancelled due to family issues.
