Commander

Named after the Commander grain elevator in downtown Stillwater, our English-Style Barleywine is aged in bourbon barrels and features heavy amounts of malts and subtle, sweet Cardamom. Bourbon, oak, vanilla, citrus and a sweet spiciness provide flavor notes to the 12.5% warming alcohol. Enjoy the day after Thanksgiving, at family gatherings, or anytime you’re looking to make a great first impression. Enjoy with a fine cigar or with turkey, stuffing, nuts, dried fruits and aged cheese. Ranked in the Top 15 English Barleywines in the world on Beer Advocate.

Commentator

We all know that guy (or girl) that just has to say something about everything. Statements starting with “You know what you should do?” or criticism that would embarrass a 1st grader’s vocabulary, such as “Meh,” seem to kick off conversations that can only be tolerated with eye rolls and sighs. Because most of us can only tolerate our friends for a weekend, let this beer temporarily silence The Commentator in your group. Plump and malty, this big ol’ German lager was brewed with 100% German malts, hops, and yeast before sitting at 0C for what felt like eternity.

Commie Pekko

Socialism! Communism! America’s goin’ down the crapper in a blaze of government-funded health care and affordable education!!! We're onto to those G.D. lefties and their hops and their delicious beers. We're here to show them that we've got a few tricks up our sleeves yet! You Millenials are all looking for the next novel on fleek craft brew, so we brewed up an India Pale LAGER. That's right. With EXPERIMENTAL Pekko hops from Michigan. These things aren't your fathers Cascades. No grapefruit, or piney notes for you, ya hippie. No, siree. Get a whiff of pineapple and thyme on that nose. Have a mouthful of those cucumber, mint and juicy Meyer lemon notes. Have a pint of Commie Pekko with your kale salad while you listen to your new Danny Brown album in your tiny house. Com-Sym.

Commissar

This noble brew evolved from its common cousins, porter and stout, by necessity to endure the long voyage to the Russian royal court. Colossal additions of American hops are used to balance the robust malt character and infuse this ale with their distinctly citrus-like qualities. The Commissar can be consumed now or laid down for further enjoyment. Take some home to share with friends and family at your court.

Common Sense

Common Sense is our particular spin on the California Common, better known as a "steam" beer - an American west coast original style. Before the advent of refrigeration, steam beers were fermented with a lager yeast, but at temperatures more suited for ales, to take advantage of the mild weather found in the San Francisco bay area. Instead of the typical hop profile, we selected Nelson Sauvin to add in a unique hop flavor to compliment this medium-bodied and slightly malty/fruity beer.

Commonwealth Ale

We brewed Commonwealth Ale in honor of the historic advance toward beer as food. To achieve this flavorful session we added amaranth, millet and teff - grains that nourished the earliest civilizations - along with Tamalpais Barley grown and malted in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. A medium, light bodied ale with mild nutty character, Commonwealth is balanced by earthy and grassy hop aromas and flavors. Enjoy this easy-to-drink, malty delight while supporting the arts and helping feed those less fortunate. Malty notes up front. Bready, toasted, slightly nutty malt flavor from the Tamalpais and other specialty malts. Very mild hop balance that is a bit earthy and grassy. Pleasant medium-light body that finishes crisp and easy. Commonwealth satisfies the body and soul! Enjoy!

Company

This beer was made in celebration of our breweries 3rd anniversary. Company is a Belgian Quadruple which we brewed using house toasted cherrywood that was aged for months in white rum barrels from our friends at Flag Hill Distillery in Lee, NH. Look for notes of banana, rum, marzipan, and cherry. Perfect for cellar aging and vertical tastings. We drink this beer in appreciation of your support over our first three years and hopefully many more into the future, cheers!

Compass

We rely on age-old tools in the brewery despite being surrounded by high technology. As a sort of compass, we use the six pointed brewer’s star to help navigate uncharted brews. The cardinal directions of water, malt, grain, yeast, hops and brewer make the baseline. From there, anything goes. Sometimes the journey is as important as the destination.
