Brewed with cubeb peppercorns, anise seed, and lemon zest and juice, Coquetier is inspired by the woody, floral, and herbal character of the Sazerac cocktail. Lemon zest recalls the cocktail’s traditional garnish, a thin sliver of lemon peel rested on the rim. It was aged in brandy barrels, as the cocktail originally called for Cognac brandy. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and 100% bottle conditioned.
