A pair of Kiwis brewing renowned ales on opposite sides of the planet put their heads together to produce New Zealand’s first international collaborative brew. In February 2010, Luke Nicholas from Epic Brewing Company (NZ) and Kelly Ryan from Thornbridge Brewery (Eng) created a silky, decadent yet hoppy stout. Their synergistic brew, Epic Thornbridge Stout, is a drinkable testament to the power of collaboration. Kelly has helped draw out Epic’s dark side which may just usher in a new epoch for brewing in this country.

A wheat beer from the good old days. Erdinger Weissbier ’dark’ is a rich and smooth wheat beer specialty from Erdinger Weissbräu. It owes its full-bodied flavor to the fine hops and dark malt used in its production. The dark beer specialty is brewed according to an age-old recipe. Its spicy flavor also results from the increased proportion (about 13%) of original wort. Nonetheless, at 5.3%, it doesn’t contain much more alcohol than Erdinger Weissbier ’with fine yeast’.

Erdinger Weissbier Light is a lower percentage, lower calorie beer for those that want to maintain a balanced diet. The flavour is hardly different then normal wheat beer, it has 40% fewer calories then Erdinger Weissbier, continuing to use fine yeast.

Erdinger Urweisse is a top-fermenting beer that has a strong spicy aroma with a distinctive yeast flavour. This beer is brewed in old school Bavarian fashion. This recipe dates back to the breweries founding days over 120 years ago. A special malt, different hop variety and special yeast give this beer its distinctive traditional weissbier flavour.

Eric is a hop-lover's delight, packing the hops of an IPA into a malty sweet red ale. A Mosaic dry hop dominates, adding an aroma of peach, mango and other tropical fruit. Falconer's Flight and CTZ round out the hop bill, adding additional fruit and herbal notes.

When the Vikings invaded what’s now Ireland, they needed a lot of liquid courage for all that pillaging and plundering. The ales they found on their monastery raids were a little heavy for marathon battles, so they took matters into their own hands and got busy brewing battle-friendly ales. This beer is a collaborative project between Palmetto Brewing and or neighbors, the Charleston Coffee roasters. After many years together under the same roof, Ed and Lowell decoded to wrap their collective brainpower around the concept of using expertly and locally roasted coffee in this beer. After several roasts and different coffee beans, the final recipe is truly a work of art combining bold flavors in a delicate balance. A medium bodied old world German-style lager brewed with a variety of special caramel malts producing a deep amber color, with a full flavor and exceptional finish.

Daura is the result of a long process of research and development conducted jointly by Damm's master brewers and the Gluten Unit at Spain's Scientific Research Council (CSIC) using the most advanced technology. Golden with amber tones and a hint of green. It is clear and sparkling. The off-white head is long-lasting. The bubbles rise quickly in a fine abundant stream.
