A beer that was initially conceived at the Hair of the Dog Breakfast during Good Beer Week 2013. Bousa lost a competition to make the worst possible tasting drink out of all sorts of treats such as tabasco, chilli sauce, salt, soy sauce and our old friend canned clams (yes Bousa’s drink tasted the best) and to the victor goes the spoils, a can of baby clams. Bakes took custody of the clams and proceeded to take them on a romantic date and tour of Melbourne. During this time they formed a special bond, and we knew we had to treat them well. So, for 2014 Hair of the Dog Breakfast, the clams have returned with vengeance, this time in a batch of beer! Gose (pronounced gose-ah) is an ancient German style of that is slightly sour and brewed with salty water and coriander seeds. We added the salty/briny character using the tinned clams and backed up the saltiness by adding a touch of dark malt. Mmmmm clammy.

We age our barleywine for a minimum of 3 months prior to serving. This beer has a strong malty toffee flavor with apricot notes. The continuous hopping through the boil gives this beer a smooth hop profile that blends with age.

A real eye opener, Glacial Grind Coffee Porter, is a robust European style porter that has traditional dry chocolate & toasted notes with subtle maltiness. It blends elegantly with the natural rich smoothness of specialty selected locally roasted coffee. Using a New Orleans style cold extraction technique enabled us to introduce an excellent coffee characteristic with a lot of depth and a subtle fruitiness. This locally roasted coffee perfectly accents & complements the aroma & finish of this beer leaving a pleasant lingering coffee flavor.

Another one of our many styles of American pale ales featuring distinctive new varieties of hops from Washington state. Refreshingly bittered and late hopped bringing out the bittering qualities and aromatics of this fine hop.

Our Signature ale is a take on a West Coast Red, this unique recipe is brewed with English Malt for a distinct finish. This smooth bodied Ale has a distinguished taste and look, and is our flagship beer. With a hint of sweet malt flavor and a well balanced hop bitterness, the Glasstown Ale is sure to please almost anyone and great for any occasion.
