He'Brew Funky Jewbelation - L'Chaim Sucka!

The 2015 incarnation of Funky Jewbelation will hit your glass as a deep, groovy brown, with a thin white head that dissipates quickly, leaving behind a funky tart aroma that comes after allowing a blend of certain beer to chill in a collection of far-out barrels for anywhere between a few months to over a year. The flavor of 2015 Funky Jewbelation is going to provide more hop character than most funky beers have seen, this dynamite quality comes from American hops we used to bitter and flavor one of our base beers, allowing a truly gnarly experience for all to geek out on!

He'Brew Jewbelation Fifteen

In Jewish tradition, 15 marks major commemorations: Passover (the Exodus), Sukkot (40 years of wandering), and Tu Bishvat (the New Year for Mother Nature) all start on the 15th day of the Hebrew month. 15 suggests a certain wisdom from experience: “Old is always 15 years from now.” – Bill Cosby. “We are always more anxious to be distinguished for one talent we do not possess than 15 we do.” – Mark Twain. After Andy Warhol, does 15 forever sound profound or frivolous? “In the future, everyone will be world famous for 15 minutes.” “Fame is the thirst of youth.” – Lord Byron. “The fact that my 15 minutes of fame has been extended is somewhat surprising to me and completely baffling to my wife.” – Barack Obama. For Matt EP: Hall of Famer Bart Starr rocked #15 as MVP in the Packers’ first two Super Bowl victories. “South Park” evolved from “Jesus vs. Santa” and is now entering its 15th season. “We’re rehabbed and ready for our 15 minutes of shame.” – Marilyn Manson. Lyrics from Barry Manilow’s 2011 album, 15 Minutes, released on QVC Network: “Make me a deal, I’ll sell my guts for glory.” “Fame and power are the objects of all men. Even their partial fruition is gained by very few, and that at the expense of social pleasure, health, conscience, life.” – Benjamin Disraeli. After 1,972,350 sets of 15 minutes of Shmaltz Brewing, I’ll hoist my Jewbelation Quinceañera and sing 15 rounds of ¡Viva la Evolución de He’brew! L’Chaim! Jeremy Cowan, proprietor

He'Brew Jewbelation Reborn 17

How could we hope to top last year’s Jewbelation Sweet 16 with its cupcakes, unicorns, & Satan’s Ferrari birthday cake? Massive challenge. So for Year 17, we threw in a whole new dimension to our shtick – we built our very own brewery! After 17 years of contract brewing, our first Shmaltz Clifton Park batch emerged 17 months after the first draft of the business plan. Coincidence? Renaissance means “Re-birth” in French & Italian. In Buddhism, the concept does not truly translate as “reincarnation” but instead as “becoming,” or a “stream of consciousness.” 11 syllables structure a haiku. Shakespeare penned 17 comedies. In The Simpsons episode “Duffness” Homer sings “When I was 17″ about buying his first beer with a fake I.D. “I drank some very good beer. I stayed up listening to Queen, When I was 17.” In The Office, Dwight recites Rule 17 that all Schrute boys must learn: “Don’t turn your back on bears, men you have wronged, or the dominant turkey during mating season.” Knowledge and growth come in many forms. It is taught that Nirvana is only attained when the soul transcends cycles of rebirth. Looks like Shmaltz just isn’t there yet. So with 17 malts, 17 hops, and 17% ABV, JEWBEL4TIONREBORN serves as another mark of our death as a contract brewer and proof of our conversion to a new life as brewery owner…… L’Chaim!!!

He'Brew Rejewvenator

Born in California now Reborn in New York - it's a Rejewvenator 2014 - with grape! Concord & Merlot, East Coast West Coast mashup - everyone is a winner. Shtick time: After evaluating 22K seedlings, Ephraim Bull chose the perfect variety for the Concord grape in 1849 in Concord, MA. The original vine still grows at his former home. A supporter of Temperance, Dr. Welch promoted Concord in 1869 as a non-alc for communion at his church in Vineland, NJ - the future home to a Manischewitz plant for delights such as borscht & gefilte fish. Sammy Davis Jr. for Cream White Concord: "Man-oh-Manischewitz." Fictitious indie amateur, Miles Raymond from Sideways single-handedly created a backlash and a glut of Merlot in the US wine market. Genesis (9:20-21) the 1st reference to wine in the Torah: "Noah planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent." Scholars suggest the story of Jesus turning water into wine was intended to show his superiority to Dionysus the Greek god of wine. Houdini performed a trick of holding a glass of water, turning it to wine, and then pulling from it silk scarves and an eagle. Grape toss records: Speed catching, 67 in one minute; Solo throw, run, catch, 40 ft; Longest, 354'4" shot from a water balloon launcher; Highest, 788 ft skyscraper. The oldest known wine dates back 9000 years, found in Jiahu Central China. "The Sun, with all the planets revolving around it, and depending on it, can still ripen a bunch of grapes as though it had nothing else in the Universe to do." -Galileo Galilei. Elizabeth Barrett Browning: "What I do and what I dream include thee, as the wine must taste of its own grapes." "The best of life is but intoxication; Glory, the grape, love, gold / in these are sunk / The hopes of all men and of every nation." -Lord Byron "Oh, when I was a kid in show business I was poor. I used to go to orgies to eat the grapes." ÐRodney Dangerfield. Or as Chappelle says, "Sugar, Water, Purple!" So much to enjoy Ð slurp on, Tribe! L'Chaim!

Head High

Head High is our interpretation of an American-style India Pale Ale (IPA). This beer is all about the hops; we use a blend of five different varieties all grown in the Pacific Northwest. A small charge of Chinook and Columbus early in the boil adds a smooth bitterness. A majority of the hops are then added late in the kettle or post-fermentation to produce a beer that is heavy on hop flavor and aroma. The combination of Cascade, Centennial, Citra and Columbus give Head High a noticeable grapefruit flavor with aromas of citrus, tropical fruits and pine. Our house American ale yeast ferments to a dry finish that accentuates the use of imported Pilsner and lightly kilned crystal malt resulting in Head High’s straw color and crisp flavor.

Headbanger

Our first Hard Cider reflects a 14 year experience making award winning wines. We started with all natural apple juice at 13 Brix inoculating the fermentation in 60 gallon French Oak Barrels. We used a yeast normally used for our Fume/Sauvignon Blanc. Fermentation took 15 days to become completely dry and the cider was racked to a clean barrels. Headbanger American Gold Whiskey was added to the cider and aged for another 30 days. The lots were carbonated, kegged, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The vanilla, caramel, and cinnamon flavors from the whiskey add the components enabling us to call this, “The Caramel Apple of Ciders.” Dry to the finish, the texture reminds us of an Italian Prosecco that is clean, refreshing, and leaves you wanting another sip. Headbangerz Brown Ale

Headbangerz Brown Ale is based on an English brown ale style. Its color is a demonic, dark reddish-brown. This beer is subtly sweet and punctuated with roasty, nutty flavors. The hops take a back seat and simply complement the malt character. Headbangerz Brown Ale is perfect for any Autumn outdoor activities or for relaxing on Summer evenings. Headbangerz Brown Ale is named in honor of Barbarian Chief's, Mike Hiller, hardworking former co-workers ââ?¬â?? heavy metal freaks and masters of metal fabrication.

Headlights IPA

Brewed in collaboration with friend and home brewer Vera Deckard, Headlights IPA is brewed in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. A percentage of every pint sold will be donated to this cause. The centerpiece to this IPA is the New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hop. The Sauvin in the name comes from the Sauvignon Blanc type flavors imparted by the hop. White wine and citrus fruitiness, a crispness and slight minerality move this IPA out of the typical hop bomb realm and into an area of universal appeal across palates.

Heady Topper

We love hops – that’s why our flagship Double IPA, Heady Topper, is packed full of them. Heady Topper was designed to showcase the complex flavors and aromas these flowers produce. The Alchemist has been brewing Heady Topper since 2003. This Double IPA is not intended to be the strongest or most bitter DIPA. It is brewed to give you wave after wave of hop flavor without any astringent bitterness. We brew Heady Topper with a proprietary blend of six hops – each imparting its own unique flavor and aroma. Take a big sip of Heady and see what hop flavors you can pick out. Orange? Tropical Fruit? Pink Grapefruit? Pine? Spice? There is just enough malt to give this beer some backbone, but not enough to take the hops away from the center stage.
