Ass Kisser hefeweizen is more flavorful than a typical hefe. A bigger malt bill featuring Canadian malted barley and American malted wheat give this beer a little more body. To balance that body, we added more hops as well. This beer is generously late kettle-hopped with Cascades and Zeuz to give this beer a snappy citrusy finish, typical of american hops.

Hefeweizen

It’s German for “Yeast Wheat Beer”. We brew our Hefeweizen in the Bavarian tradition using the yeast from Weinstephan, the oldest brewery in Germany. This is an unfiltered, slightly cloudy, beer that features a strong stand of foam, a delicate round malt and wheat presence and finishes with no regrets. You might notice an aroma of banana and clove, you might not, not everyone sniffs their beer.

Our classic Hefeweizen is brewed in the traditional German manner. The malt bill is primarily composed of German wheat. Hop additions are kept low to accentuate the yeast characteristics. Bright sunny aromas of banana and clove mingle with a light bodied golden wheat flavor. Notes of fresh citrus also come forth through the lively carbonation. Traditionally unfiltered. Best enjoyed with brunch, lunch, or anytime several beers are preferable to one strong beer!

Queen City Hefeweizen: Queen City’s unfiltered wheat beer, produced exclusively from German malt, wheat, and hops, is complex and refreshing. The large percentage of wheat provides a pleasant creaminess and long-lasting head, while our distinctive yeast produces subtle banana- and clove-like notes in both the aroma and flavor, which perfectly balance the bready character of the malt.
