Summit Hefe Weizen is brewed with a high percentage of malted wheat, then a small amount of authentic German weizen yeast is left behind to help maintain its brewery freshness. And that’s what accounts for Hefe Weizen’s unique cloudy appearance.

Hefe-What?! Hefeweizen

Hefeweizen may be hard to say, but this one is easy to drink. Hefe-What?! is a crisp and refreshing hefeweizen. Traditional clove and banana notes created by the yeast blend nicely with the unique citrus flavors from the addition of grapefruit peel and coriander. If you’d like to garnish it with fruit, forget about a lemon wedge or orange slice; you deserve better! We recommend a huge slice of a Texas grown Ruby Red Grapefruit. Made with white wheat, two row, and honey malts. Hopped with Tettnanger and Cascade hops. Spiced with grapefruit peel and coriander.

Heferyzen/Mud In Yer Rye

Heferyzen is brewed with approximately 12% flaked rye to complement pale and Munich malts. A darker version of the beer, Mud in Yer Rye, which has become quite popular at Big Time, is brewed with an additional 5% dark roasted rye (custom roasted by Briess), to give the beer a darker color and drier flavor to offset the sweetness and mouthfeel of the flaked rye in the recipe.

Hefeweizen

This traditional German wheat beer is brewed after an old German law that requires at least 50% of the grains to be malted wheat. Our style of wheat beer is made with 55% wheat and a famous German yeast strain which produces a strong banana and subtle clove flavor. The high wheat content and yeast also contributes to the cloudy yet light gold appearance. This type of beer is favored during the summertime but is brewed year-round at Blue Stallion Brewing Co.

Hefeweizen

First brewed in 1984, Schell’s Hefeweizen is made with a blend of wheat malt and barley malts. We use an authentic wheat beer yeast culture, which gives the beer a fruity ale character dominated by a citrus-like tartness. Refreshingly light character with a higher than normal carbonation level. Straw-colored and cloudy from the unfiltered yeast left in suspension. Notes of banana and clove with a slight bready malt flavor. We invite you to join us in a hearty German toast to this gold medal winner. Prosit!

Hefeweizen

"Hefe" meaning 'yeast', and "weizen" meaning 'wheat', come together nicely to create this traditional Bavarian bier. First made in the 16th century in the Bavarian Forest around the same time as some popular Bavarian lagers. Also due to German law, Weizenbier must consist of at least 50% malted wheat. The style is identified by its unique yeast strain and the large portion of wheat in the malt bill. With the invention of refrigeration and increased lager production, the style almost fell out of production until the late 1960's. Now raging with popularity, this style is for sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Hefeweizen

If you’re heading to the Central Coast, chances are you’ll spend some time in the sun on one of the many beaches in the region. And at the end a hard day’s leisure, you’ll no doubt want something flavoursome and refreshing to reward yourself. Look no further than the Six String Hefeweizen, a beer built for drinking on a warm summer’s day. Made with a 50/50 blend of wheat to barley malts and at 5.2 per cent abv, it’s light enough to have a few but packs enough of a flavour punch to stop you from having a few too quickly. You’ll want to take your time with it anyway, to savour what’s waiting the glass; the banana, clove and bready characters which no good hefe would dare be without. Same goes for that trademark yeasty cloudiness. At 11 IBUs there’s not much bitterness to be had, but it’s highly carbonated so there’s a gentle tartness that only serves to add to the beer’s refreshing quality. Like we said, one for those warm summer days.
