Our Limited Release Barrel-Aged Porter spends 3 months in Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels, imparting the dark, roasty beer with notes of toasty oak, vanilla, toffee and whiskey.

A deep reddish, malty, and complex Belgian style ale. Six different types of malted barley, Belgian candied syrup and Belgian yeast are combined to produce a very smooth, complex and slightly sweet ale.

If you like big, bold, pronounced hop character, then this beer is for you. One taste and you�ll find yourself right smack in the middle of Hop Head Heaven! But this beer has more to offer than just hops. We use tons of the finest malted barley available to balance out this beer. The result of our efforts is a beer with a magnitude of hop aroma and bite, yet perfectly balanced with a clean, crisp malty flavor. Your brewers at Upstream Brewing Company have brought you a new beer based on a classic cocktail known as Horse Feathers; the classic drink is made with ginger beer/ale, rye whiskey, a dash bitters & a zest of lemon. Horse Feathers was also a 1932 Marx Brother's film comedy. Horse Feathers Beer is a nice refreshing beer for spring time as the weather warms it has a very assertive ginger flavor from the addition of 20 pounds of juiced Hawaiian Blue Ginger that balances nicely with the light spiciness of the malted rye and just a touch of lemon zest in the finish Aged for three months in Templeton Rye Whiskey Barrels to help put a smile on your face. Drink Up!

It takes some gall to steal a horse, but only a love of hops to drink this beer. We use a complex blend of hops to make this beer perpetually exciting to drink.

This style of beer is classified as an unfiltered German style wheat beer. Hefe meaning yeast and weizen meaning wheat in German. The focus is on both the malts and yeast used during the brewing process. Our version is a medium body beer brewed with 60% malted wheat. The aroma and flavor, derived from the yeast, is fruity and spicy resembling that of banana and clove. A very refreshing beer on hot and humid summer days.

Brewed using locally grown sugar pumpkins from Bellewood Acres Farm, Lynden, WA. The pumpkings were roasted using a wood-fired pizza over provided by Rustic Crust Pizza, then added during the mash, boil, and fermenter. Freshly chopped ginger, along with nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom, and allspice were used for spicing.

The Horseman rides again this fall just as he has done every year since ‘04. Pour the beer into a glass. The frothy pumpkin head of the Horseman is filled with sweet and spicy aromas of the season. This is your chance to strike first! Slurp off the head to reveal the Horseman’s body, decapitated yet still full of life. A copper hue and rich pumpkin pie flavors make this fall seasonal a refreshing treat from October through November. Beware… the Horseman will have his Revenge!

The horsehoe bend pale ale uses rich Pale, Munich, and a hint of crystal malts which gives this beer color and body. Bittered with Pearle hops, aroma and flavor come from cascade hops.

A tart, farmhouse ale brewed with Riverbend Malt and fermented with our house culture of brettanomyces. The addition of seasonal elderflowers, hyssop, and honeysuckle transform the rustic house culture into a lovely floral brett saison.

The toasted caramel of English Crystal malt tames the citrus bite of American hops in this Amber Ale. Few balance bold with humble like the men and women of the Bangor Fire Department, from fighting the Great Fire of 1911, to their service in our community today. Hose 5 stands in tribute to these heroes of Bangor and firefighters from hometowns across the country whose daily contributions make all our lives better.

HOSS is based on the Märzen lagers of Germany. Rich, layered malt notes, with hints of cherry and dark fruits, dominate, while the unique addition of rye imparts a slightly earthy, spicy character. Hoss finishes crisp and dry, and its brilliant red-orange color is a toast to the sunsets that make the perfect backdrop for this beer.

2014 Cincinnati Beer Week

Good friends. Good beer. They are what get us through these insanely long winters in Minnesota. That’s why we teamed up with our friends at Northbound Smokehouse Brewpub in South Minneapolis to bring you Hot Box Imperial Smoked Pepper Porter. This collaboration beer is brewed with hickory-smoked peppers and malt cold-smoked over alder, maple and apple woods. Sweet and smoky, with hints of dark fruit and coffee, Hot Box provides just enough heat to keep you thawed during the coldest winter months. This beer may not be for everyone, but then again, neither are Minnesota winters!

A mouth-watering, effervescent Kettle Sour brewed with 100% Riverbend Malt and locally sourced jalapeños and peaches.
