Craft American Lager made with Saaz Hops and Pilsner Malts

Named after our owner’s father, James Martin Brown, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly the day that the first batch of this rich Chocolate Stout was brewed. This Imperial Stout is brewed with 6 varieties of malted barley that results in a silky smooth, yet complex beer. This beer pours out with a frothy tan head that would make Starbucks envious. It is loaded with chocolate and coffee aromas and pleasing malty notes. It has a rich mouth feel, is somewhat sweet and nicely balanced by the hops.

This is our offering to the hop heads! A decidedly hoppy, bitter, and moderately strong American IPA. We use a generous amount of whole leaf Cascade, Centennial and Citra hops to showcase the freshness and earthy flavors that only hops can provide.

Unique Fruit driven Pale ale. The second project in our series revolves around the fruit Jocote a sweet and tart plum from Central America. Paired with Rangpur Lime a lime only by name alone it's actually a hybrid between a mandarin orange and a lemon. With large dry hop editions of el-dorado you can expect a sweet tart pale ale with a nice acidity and big bright fruity nose.

Joe is not your average beer! This ale is brewed with locally-roasted, fair-trade, coffee. Dark Munich and chocolate malts combine to create a well-balanced, flavorful porter with a fresh roasted coffee aroma. Savor ’til the last drop!

This IPA was formerly known as Sam - named after its hops: Simcoe, Amarillo & Mosaic. But we were told this would be a trademark issue with a large craft brewery out of the Northeast so we had to change it. We cycled through a bunch of generic names until we finally arrived on the perfect name for this IPA...Joe

Meet Joe Latte’, a rich, creamy milk stout. When you pour this espresso colored beer your nose will immediately notice the sweet aroma of roasted malts, natural vanilla and rich coffee. The addition of lactose sugar adds a creamy mouth feel with a little extra sweetness. Finger Lakes Coffee Roaster’s Joe Latte’ Blend is added at the end of the boil for a rich coffee flavor that complements the deeply kilned malts. This wonderful seasonal beer will make you look forward to New York winters and hate to see them go.

As the name implies we brewed this beer with Joe Z the brewer and founder of Z Street Brewing. This Brown Porter was aged on brewery toasted sweet coconut. Aroma is of toasted coconut with background sweet toasted malt. Medium light body. Flavor is dominated upfront by toasted coconut and fades to reveal mild roastiness with supportive Fuggles hop flavor and bitterness. Finishes coconuty and slightly dry.

Joe's Root Beer is a simple name, small batched brewed root beer made with natural ingredients.

We’re excited for you to try Joemmegang, the newest beer in our Brewmaster’s Obsession series. We think that it’s a perfect marriage of coffee, beer, and chocolate. The beer begins as a malty brown ale, comprised of Belgian aroma, caramel malts, and oats. A bit of lactose adds body and some sweetness, and a heaping helping of cocoa nibs in the whirlpool provides further richness, and a deep chocolaty aroma. Hop aroma is nonexistent, and bitterness is there just to keep the sweetness in check. We worked with our great friends at Stagecoach Coffee in Cooperstown to come up with a custom coffee blend that complimented our base beer. Sumatra, Papua New Guinea, and French roast form a combination with chocolate, earth, spice, fruit, and light roast characteristics. Following primary fermentation the beer is cold crashed and yeast is removed. Coffee is added to a secondary tank and the beer is circulated through the freshly roasted beans to extract even more flavor and aroma. The result is really something special: aromas of cold brewed coffee, milk chocolate and rich malt – the taste follows, round, smooth and creamy, with a touch of sweetness.

Named after a true Michigan pioneer, John Ball, who was instrumental in the development of downtown Grand Rapids.

This vintage pours rubescent garnet in color with a tenaciously creamy head. Ambrosial clove, cinnamon and grapefruit aromas lend to the evocatory flavors. A moderately peppery and medium dry malt finish cossets the palette, promoting contemplative sipping and enjoyment. The ideal winter warmer, John Barleycorn Barley Wine is best served in a snifter in front of the fire throughout the Harvest Season. Ages extremely well with optimum maturity reached at one year and beyond.

Bennelong Point, (where Sydney Opera House stands), was the location of the mill where genius John Boston crafted Australia’s first beer using corn bittered with love-apple stalks. (Ok he was a flawed genius). We may have lost ’The Point’ to Pavarotta but we finally got the brew right. No corn or sticks here...just refreshing Pale Ale.

John Henry’s Hammer is an American Imperial Stout named after an American legend and the tool of his trade, which was his trusty sledge. It has mixed aroma of roast, coffee and dark chocolate and a rich mouthfeel with a hoppy finish.

Deep honey in color with a malt aroma, a caramel, vanilla, and oak finish. In a collaboration of crafts, Rogue Brewmaster John Maier and Rogue Spirits Master Distiller John Couchot have joined forces to create a distinct, innovative series of brews called John John Ales. The series will take Rogue Ales legends and age them in Rogue Spirits barrels. A 3,100 gallon batch of John John Ale produces 1357 cases of beer. The first of the John John series is John John Dead Guy Ale, Rogue’s award winning Dead Guy Ale matured in Rogue’s award winning Dead Guy Whiskey barrels.
