Affectionately referred to as “Super Jubel”, Jubel 2015 has notes of toasted caramel, raisins, dates and figs are complemented by spicy and herbal hop aromas. This ‘Super Jubel’ was discovered by accident two decades ago when a clumsy burglar didn’t realize the weight of his stolen keg of Jubelale. He dropped it outside to freeze in the season’s sub-zero temperatures – only to be discovered the next morning by Gary Fish, Deschutes Brewery owner. More than half the liquid in the keg had frozen and the remaining beer was a very cold, highly concentrated ‘Jubelale on steroids.’ It was so good that the brewers set about recreating it, coming up with an annual ‘Super Jubel’ that is aged in oak barrels. A limited amount has been available on tap every year, 2010 will be only the second time that the brewery has bottled up this brew for sale. The first time it was available by bottle was a special millennium edition in 2000.

Warm spiciness and tradition grace this bold winter ale. Intriguing, layered flavors unfold to reveal chicory, dried fruit and toffee notes with a hoppy kick to finish. The deep garnet color pairs perfectly with holiday celebrations. On nitro, this beer will blow your taste buds away.

Potus non frangit ieiunium. – "Drinking is not breaking the fast". Stout or strong beer owes its origin to this old catholic rule for Lent. In former times monks and lords of the castle brewed a powerful bock beer to strengthen themselves for the 40 days of fasting leading up to Easter solemnities. In Bavaria, an extra-strength bock beer is immediately recognizable by the suffix ending in “ator”. Dark, intense and round in taste, it ranks among the Maxlrain popular seasonal beer specialities.

In honor of all of our amazing supporters; that is you, and to celebrating one year of hard work, our brewer cooked up a little something special. Jubilee is an amalgamation of our heritage and culture. We took a classic American amber ale, and gave it a German Rauch twist. This amber, almost orange in color ale, is medium to light in body with a thick creamy head. A subtle, but unique smoky aroma, melds wonderfully with the powerful honeyed biscuit malt characteristic. A massive beer in every sense of the word, Judgment Day is layered with flavors from the raisins, dark malt, alcohol and yeast all battling for the forefront of taste. The flavors of the beer lend well to pairing with a sweet dessert, or can be the end of a meal itself. Judgment Day is the base beer for our Cuvee de Tomme. Many of the Trappist Breweries produce a version of beer which ages incredibly well for many years to come. And, since none of us knows when the end of the world is coming, we suggest you stock up with lots of Lost Abbey beers so that when the end of the world magically appears from no where, you'll have a beer or two on hand for even the stingiest of angels. Available in 750ml bottles and on draft at select inspired locations.

We all know one. Ours just happens to be a big hoppy imperial IPA brewed with locally sourced honey. Chinook, Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade and Citra hops balance out this high gravity beer. Judgmental Dick is only available in a 5 oz. taster or a 10.5 oz goblet.

Juice bomb is a hazy, golden, unfiltered IPA.The low bitterness and late hopping showcases the citrusy, juicy notes that many American hops contain. A blast of tropical aroma is followed by a resiny and balanced flavor. Juice bomb features all the aspects and nuances of full hop flavor, not just bitterness — providing an upfront but easy drinking beer. Because us Northeasterners shouldn’t just ape the West Coast.
