This long anticipated golden Belgian Ale is a 'Post Industrial Session Saison', brewed with Weyerman pilsen, rye, flaked wheat, flaked oats, spelt, and grains of paradise. We hopped this beer with Styrian Goldings and Czech Saaz to create a bitter and dry profile, then fermented this recipe with 2 farmhouse yeast strains and Drie Bretta to create spicy and light barnyard notes.

As vibrant in color as fall's liveliest foliage, this deep red beer's hints of caramel and vanilla are rounded out by a smooth, rich maple character. Warming enough for a chilly fall day, its distinct notes of maple dance against a slightly sweet malt background and make this complex beer the perfect bridge into cooler weather.

Two Lights is an ode to two of the more refreshing drinks of summer: cold beer and sparkling wine. While brewing this beer, we add sauvignon blanc must—the freshly pressed juice of the grapes. Then we ferment it with both lager and champagne yeast to create a tart, crisp, and dry profile. The finished beer’s aromas of pear, grape, and light hops pair with a flavor profile that’s a mix of tropical fruit and the snappy spritz of a freshly picked grape. We suggest sipping Two Lights by a water source too large to see across.

When we decided to brew Local Coffee Stout with our neighbors at Merit Roasting, we immediately took measures to secure a fleet of sweet Kentucky Bourbon barrels to age the results of our collaboration. Mature American oak adds depth and complexity, creating a subtle shift in flavor and overall perception. Vanilla, resin, char and warmth resonate with the nutty coffee and roast character,presenting a fresh, yet familiar palette of flavors for the palate to peruse. Slàinte!

Cozy Blanket is a Brown Porter served on Nitro. Dark brown with a thick and creamy mocha colored head, Cozy Blanket has aromas of chocolate and caramel. This Nitro Brown Porter has a velvety, full-bodied mouthfeel with flavors of chocolate, toffee, and caramel. Cozy blanket finishes smooth with a nice nutty flavor.

Lokale Licht is our flagship Lager, Local’s Light brewed with German Pilsner malt. The beer is crisp and clean and has a subtle malt quality. Flavors of grass and sweet corn are complimented by the scent of mild noble hops. It is the perfect beer for the craft beer enthusiast or the seasoned macro consumer, alike.

Short’s Hoppy 5th is a hoppy Pale Ale with grapefruit zest brewed in honor of The Buck’s 5th anniversary. Straw-colored with aromas of grapefruit, citrus hops, and wheat, Short’s Hoppy 5th is a well balanced Pale Ale. Juicy and medium-bodied, flavors of grapefruit are complemented by Amarillo, Citra, and Mosaic hops. The finish is dry and slightly bitter. It’s clear that the hops, malt, and zest used in this brew work in unison to create a perfectly easy drinking Pale Ale.
