Very aromatic dry hopped pale ale. Brewed with English Maris Otter malts and Hopped with Galaxy and Centennial.

Red Ale

It's quenching, balanced and just a little fruity for maximum refreshment. Byron Bay Brewery Hazy One Lager is a Cloudy Pale Lager. Loving a lager is almost part of being Australian, and this one brings some extra flavour to the style. Take in the light fruity and floral aromas. Enjoy a little bitterness balanced by the biscuit-like malty notes that give this beer a rounded fullness.

Purposely cloudy. Done as they do in the northeast, not because it is easy, but to accentuate the the hops! Or so “they” say. Ours is a blend from near and far with the addition of real Mango juice and flavors to tropical juice up this already juicy IPA

Heavily soured with lactobacillus and finished with Saison yeast, this beer is juicy, refreshing, and very tart. Pomegranate Peach

This kettle-soured dark ale is an enchanting chameleon, falling somewhere between porter and Flemish red in flavor on the palate. Moderately acidic with immense cherry character from plentiful additions of both tart and sweet cherries, Sister Roberta is the perfect accompaniment to the fall weather!

Big, phenolic, likes-to-kick, Belgian IPA. Peppery, juicy, and speaks with an accent.

Our Imperial Red Ale has double the alcohol, double the hops and is still easy going down! Caution! A blend of four American and English hops with red wheat malt provides complicated experience with a subtle finish. If you start hearing sirens, move to a lighter beer!

Assertive West Coast DIPA with minor malt character allowing the Chinook, Simcoe and Citra hops to really shine!

Our take on a traditional Belgian Dubbel, this dark, rich ale with deep Belgian roots is produced using our house Belgian yeast coupled with Special B malts and dark Belgian candy sugar. This makes for a wonderful full bodied brew enjoyable year round. Our first Tap-Room only release. Named for an act which (questionably) had elk and horses diving off a platform straight into the Ludlow Lagoon. A favorite attraction of the time. We personally consider it to be a great jumping off point to start your Belgian Style exBEERience here at Bircus.

Grace Note was brewed in Collaboration with the Kensley Grace Foundation this Dry Hopped Amber is seasonally malty with notes of peaches and apricots on the nose. 5% abv Makes this beer a great fall choice for seasonability. Everyone needs a good stout in the lineup. We're no exception. In the land peanut butter, ice cream, candy canes and who even knows what will go into a stout next... we developed a strait-forward, bold & traditional Dry Irish Stout recipe. The newest beer to our lineup, Kilpatrick's One Legged Dry Irish Stout was named in honor of none other than Charles G. Kilpatrick. A one-legged performer of international fame in the late 1800's to early 1900's, he brought his act to our very own Ludlow Lagoon with a 60' high by 4' wide staircase which he blazed down on his bicycle. For this, we thank you Mr. Kilpatrick and we raise a glass of stout with your namesake as we toast to your legacy.

Six kinds of grain bring out a complex character in this Scotch Ale. While Willamette hops offset the sweetness, this beer stays malty and smooth with subtle chocolate and coffee undertones. The Ludlow Lagoon Amusement Park was a major entertainment hub in the Cincinnati region from 1895 to 1918 and remains a standout in the history of Ludlow. Funded by the backers of the Cincinnati and Covington Street Railway Company, you could take a streetcar from Fountain Square to the Lagoon entrance in 25 minutes. There was something for everyone: a large lake and boathouse for beach goers, a dance hall and amphitheater for artsy types, a midway with carnival games and food for the masses, and popular rides like the roller coaster Scenic Railway for thrill seekers. Actors, musicians and circus performers from around the world entertained as many as 40,000 people a week. Imagine seeing the Hungarian Royal Orchestra one week and McCart's Dog and Monkey Circus the next. Sadly, before the 1918 season, the park closed with the onset of wartime prohibition banning the sale of alcohol. Let's drink to the Lagoon.

An assertive traditional American Pale Ale that has a few non-traditional, local ingredients like Blue Oven Farm’s toasted wheat. The clean citrus notes of our Amarillo hops come through to balance the supporting toasted wheat backbone. Founded in 1846, this quaint Kentucky town on the Ohio River takes its name from landowner Israel Ludlow, whose father of the same name helped found Cincinnati. Prior to the town's platting, the land was awarded to Revolutionary War hero General Thomas Sanford, traded to real estate developer Thomas D. Carneal and sold to showman William Bullock, a guy madcap enough to inspire one of our beers. During the Gilded Age and Progressive Era, the city grew notably as a rail hub and gained notoriety with the Lagoon Amusement Park. Ludlow's population boomed with new construction in the 1920s and declined when folks moved to the burbs after World War II. In 1946 the city began sponsoring its annual Memorial Day parade for veterans, and the Ludlow Theatre opened its doors. Today Ludlow--connected to the river, railroads, patriotism and entertainment--has seen a revival with new residents, businesses, artists and, the obvious, a circus brewery.
